“Located at a nice old corner house close to the fair and shopping center. Remarkable food aroma while entering (Indian style food). Cosi place, about 20 beers on tap and a lot at the fridge. Flights of 5 (0.1l) available. Smart staff. We enjoyed it.“

“I really didn't get all the hype over this place. I guess it just shows how poor is the craft beer scene in Frankfurt if this is "the place to be at".“

“Located a stone’s throw from the majestic cathedral and from the Main, this modern venue is probably the favourite place of all young American tourists. There are eight taps, most of them featuring beer from lesser known German craft breweries. Friendly staff. Reasonable prices, given the location. Haven’t tried the food but it looks modern and on a healthy end. A good place to chill out. If you have researched and tasted the nooks and crannies of the German craft beer scene, you might be disappointed, though.“

“Located almost right next to their bar, this is a nice little bottleshop near the Old Town. The selection is somewhere around 150 to 200 bottles and cans, the majority of which is in the fridges. I went for the German beers and the selection was decent in this regard, so no complaints. There were lots of import stuff as well, like Lervig, Mikkeller, Sierra Nevada, Omnipollo, Cloudwater or Belgian classics. The prices are pretty decent, and this is coming from a Hungarian visiting Germany. There was a rather decent selection of other booze too, dozens of different gins, tequilas and mezcals, rums and whiskeys. Worth a visit by all means.“

“Probably the best location for craft beer in Frankfurt, located near the Old Town. Visited twice, once on a Friday night when it was packed with almost no tables available and then on Sat right after opening and there was a surprisingly big crowd even then. 8 taps with varied styles ranging from helles through sours to IPAs and a couple dozen cans and bottles (beware cause for some reason the UT selection is both for the bar AND the store combined) with a scannable menu. They have food too, and oh my, their pulled pork sandwich is literally the best one I've ever had in my life, no exaggeration. The service is also decent, pretty friendly with good English spoken, obviously. Overall a great place, definitely worth visiting.“

“Visited on a Wednesday night. Good location in the Bahnhofsviertel and literally just around the corner from where I work, so can’t beat that. About 20 taps open on the night we visited, a couple of them cider, and including about a half dozen guest taps. More than I dared hope for on a weeknight in the middle of the fourth Covid wave. Flights of four available. There’s also a fridge if you just want to pick up a few cans on your way home. Friendly staff. Typical bar food although with a British twist. A worthy new addition to the Frankfurt scene, which on the whole is fairly thin.“

“Probably the best option for a wide variety of craft beer and gins in Frankfurt, easy to go here with both craft beer fanatics and people just looking for a nice night out. Good selection of taps, cans and bottles to drink in and some to take-away as well. Food menu has snacks and full meals, there are vegetarians options as well and recently they opened up a pizza shop right next door so plenty of beer and food options. Must visit when in Bankfurt!“

“Frankfurt institution in the Bahnhosviertel, so the quarter at the main station. Frequently visited by locals, picking up a bottle to go or drink in front of the shop. Many different but mostly bigger brands, but with some nice findings in between. Solid Kiosk prices.“

“This is both a bar and an atmospheric restaurant, probably the first place for beer tastings in Frankfurt! A "Dive" looking place with a hipster vibe, quite a young crowd (I’m always the oldest there!). There are a mix of tall and normal bench tables and chairs/stools. Lots of high stools around the bar that is all along the main back wall serving draught beers from eight taps plus flights available and around 90 German craft bottled beers. Great traditional food with a few new culinary combinations. It gets busy soon after opening as you would expect from probably the best craft bar in the city, but don’t worry, as they do table service and the staff have a reasonable knowledge of all beer they stock. It is located on a "square at the end of one of the Brickegickel bridge so they have an enclosed seating area for the warmer evenings and afternoons. A must visit bar, it's a place of childlike simplicity and honest diversity!“

“Located close to the north entrance of the U4 at Bornheim Mitte. Apfelwein Solzer is an institution in Bornheim. Probably one of the best traditional Frankfurt restaurant in the city? Inside its quite cosy and busy there is also a beer courtyard with a huge tree growing in the centre that makes dining a really special experience. They have giant portions of great tasting food, and several drink options plus the delicious Apfelwein. The Pfifferlinge Schnitzel is wonderful (but hey I'm a sucker for Schnitzel). The service is quick and efficient. Are you ready to experience the "old and traditional"? You will have loads of fun here.“

“A traditional Äppelwoi (cider, hessian style) pub. Excellent local food from the Frankfurt region is served in an authentic German restaurant, dark murals adorn the walls of drinking scenes plus dark wooden panels and the long scrubbed wooden tables that and a huge outside seating area. Don’t miss out on the famous Frankfurter Grüne Soße (Herbs in a Sour Cream base), which they even offer with Schnitzel, plus the Green sauce and other local delicacies. The whole place is a bit like a time warp. You will love it, it's totally worth it!“

“Busy and popular place with 8 taps and tasting tray available. Tasty burgers and fairly friendly service. Decent selection of bottles and cans too (as with the shop next door too). Seems to be the best and the widest selection in the city and well worth a visit.“

Galeria Kaufhof (Grocery Store)
ZEIL 116-126
“Mostly industrial, both German and some slightly interesting imports. A few fairly local craft beer too, and it seemed like they had at least an okay selection of the local ciders too. Nothing to recommend really, but if one happens to pass by you can always have a quick peak in the basement (otherwise go to Naïv for the craft beer selection).“

“Been here a few times over the years, but looks like I‘ve never rated it. The „tasting room“ and store a separate from the stop, maybe 50 meters farther down the road. As mentioned in other reviews, the premises have changed—quite a lot bigger than before. Sadly none of the expansion went to extra shelf space. Indeed the beer selection has declined over the years, with much of the extra space being taken up by liquor. Craft beer still seems a hard go in Frankfurt. :( It’s usually quiet when I come here. Staff have always been friendly and helpful. That said, there are always some new ticks to be found here. The somewhat odd opening hours keep me from getting by more often. “

“Handy location, I was there on a boiling hot evening so didn’t even see the inside, the tables outside were nice enough given the urban location. Pub food substantial and tasty, their own beers did the job. Seems a decent enough location for a pint.“

“New review due to location change! They moved two doors down the road to a bigger place. Left part ist for Tastings and brewing sessions and other events. On the right side is a smaller counter to sit down and chat. First room is full of wine and spirits. Second room is one wall of fridges for the beers and one wall with shelves for darker and stronger beers that dont neccessarily need to be stored cool. Excellent selection throughout the styles. Fresh and new releases coming in weekly. Fair prices, a little stepper than in online shops but it´s inner city Frankfurt so totally fine. Untappd beer list is up-to-date to check whats available.“

“Visited early on a weeknight. Small locale that has the feel of a neighborhood hangout/pub, which it is I guess. There‘s one room with a bar and a few tables, and a back room with another dozen tables and books lining the wall. Out back are a few tables of outdoor seating—not particularly scenic nestled between the buildings, but, well this is the city. Staff was attentive—although this was easy given that we were the first customers of the night. Food is good although the menu is fairly simple. The highlights of course are the 10 taps and the option for .1 and .2 Liter pours. Focus is on regional craft breweries. Given the absence of much similar in Frankfurt, apart from Naiv, that makes this a must visit for any ticker. There’s a good bottle menu as well and and even a special menu of (expensive) rarities that is delivered on request. A good stop if in Frankfurt.“

“Visited twice in February 2019. Located in the centre of the passenger zone in Terminal A, this open, spacious but always packed venue is probably the only real food and drink place to stop by while waiting for the plane. Moderately slow service, but they bring you whatever you have ordered, without having to ask you about the details again. That means a lot, since the place offers a decent (for its kind) selection of German craft beers (CREW Republic, BRLO, Maisel's, Schoppe, in bottles etc.) as well some well-known macro Germans (like Warsteiner) on tap. Decent food. Airport prices, which is the only real drawback of the place. But, well, if you can afford to fly, you can probably afford a beer or two, too.“

“Quite a standard looking modern bar, subdued lighting and the usual noisy but anodyne bar background music. Decent enough range of beers, about eight taps of mostly local stuff plus some bottles. Food was global bar stuff but done well enough. I suppose an interesting hybrid of a normal bar and a craft beer bar, located on what seems to be a little run of good booze outlets.“

“Visited over lunchtime on a weekday. One of the oddest setups I‘ve seen up till now. It calls itself a car garage. Walk in and it smells, feels and looks like a place to take your car for service. Except there is an wall with beer for sale. The beer side of the business seems to be a sideline and as bottleshops go it’s not a big one with perhaps 60 to 70 different beers. The focus is German craft but there were a few from Belgium, as well as the odd American brew or two. At the time of my visit I was the only „beer customer“ in the shop although there were a couple of people with automotive problems. Interestingly the beer and car business seem to share the same billing system. As I brought by bottles up, the friendly cashier worked for several minutes and ended up presenting me with a full scale Rechnung, as though I‘d just gotten a transmission replaced. I almost felt bad telling him I didn’t need it after paying up my bill, and then watching him cut up the whole thing. Not much chance of me claiming this back ftom the insurance though.“
