80 /100 Man in the Moon (Restaurant) TEGNÉRGATAN 2 Large pub style restaurant with impressive tap and bottle menus. The latter including Swedish and Belgian. A little out of the way but worth it. |
76 /100 Zum Franziskaner (Restaurant) SKEPPSBRON 44 Small dark wood themed restaurant with bar at back. Mostly German beers on tap and bottles, but a few great Swedish bottled beers as well. Definitely worth a stop for 4 to 5 beers not found elsewhere. |
88 /100 Akkurat (Restaurant) HORNSGATAN 18 Large British style pub with restaurant food. Interesting taps but the bottle/can menu is the real draw. Ask for the vintage menu! Several Swedish breweries, several EU Craft and several US breweries. Definitely worth a stop for beer and food. |
84 /100 Pressklubben (Restaurant) VASAGATAN 50 Restaurant with beer bar. It gets a Wow for the sheer number of Belgian bottles available (150+). I don’t think I have seen such a selection outside of Belgium. Always great to compare older Belgians against latest Craft. |
88 /100 Zum Franziskaner (Restaurant) SKEPPSBRON 44 Visit 23-12. Lovely place. Cosy wooden interior, with some nice beer memorabilia on the walls and on the shelves. The beer selection is good. Quite some Swedish brews you can't find elsewhere and a fine selection of German beers. The food is very tasty. Quite a nice varied selection. The price is good. Expensive for Dutch standards (the beer that is, the food is equally priced). But for Swedish standards the beers are relatively cheap. Service is good. Very friendly and precise. All in all, a great place to visit when you're staying around Stockholm. |
80 /100 Stigbergets Fot (Bar) GÖTGATAN 5 11-NOV-2023, visited with Marianne. Went there a few times during the weekend but was full every time, so after dinner (@Freyja) @around 23:00 finally we found two seats at the bar. Very good tap list with 32 taps. Loud music, lots of visitors. Nice place. |
80 /100 Omnipollos Hatt (Bar) HOKENS GATA 3 11-NOV-2023, visited with Marianne. Had three beers on draft.
Great selection of mostly Omnipollo. Crowded on a saturday afternoon. Pizza looks OK. Interior looks worn. Come for the beer. :-) |
82 /100 Akkurat (Restaurant) HORNSGATAN 18 11-NOV-2023, visited with Marianne.
Had just one beer before dinner next door (Freyja). Large place but difficult to find two seats a saturday night. Nice taplist, young clients, British Pub look - not a huge fan of that. :-)
A must-visit in Stockholm |
42 /100 Omnipollos Hatt (Bar) HOKENS GATA 3 barkeeper was a asshole |
80 /100 Zum Franziskaner (Restaurant) SKEPPSBRON 44 German style beer hall and restaurant with a thoroughly decent selection of German and Swedish Beer. The servers were excellent though the girl behind the bar could have been a bit more patient when I asked what she recommended. Foodwise my Schnitzel was excellent. If you're offered Schnapps be aware you're paying for it! |
84 /100 Ardbeg Embassy (Bar) VÄSTERLÅNGGATAN 68 Good location i a touristy street in the old town - I was somewhat afraid that this might be a bit like a tourist trap, but it was a really cozy place with excellent service and excellent beers. Interesting selection of beer including a very nice "house beer" - and of course an even better selection of whisky. Certainly a place I would like to visit again. |
54 /100 Stigbergets Fot (Bar) GÖTGATAN 5 Close to Akkurat and other beer destinations. This has certainly more of a hipster feeling to it, not very friendly, but rather busy and stressed staff when I visited on a Monday evening. Great selection of Stigberget and some interesting guest taps too, but with almost unfriendly staff that also overcharged compared to the price on the menu it's not a place I would visit again or recommend. |
76 /100 Akkurat (Restaurant) HORNSGATAN 18 Pleasant walking distance from the city center or old town and quite relaxed a pleasant place. Several other interesting beer destinations in the neighbourhood so well worth making a detour for this. Sort of British pub feel to it, friendly staff and great selection of beer. |
94 /100 Akkurat (Restaurant) HORNSGATAN 18 Crazy selection of lambics. Good selection of everything else. Staff very helpful and attentive with many jokes pn the way. Amazing experience. Only downside is the price. You cant really get something below 90 SEK (8€). And the really interesting stuff starts at 150 SEK. With unlimited money I could probably spend half a year there. |
62 /100 SANKT ERIKSGATAN 115 Typical British pub interiour as expected. Rather relaxed atmosphere and not so busy on a Monday evening, but not too much going on in the immediate neightbourhood it seems. A bit out of the center, maybe not worth going out of the way to visit, but if one is in the area or passing by it's worth checking out. Decent selection both of taps and bottles, but nothing too special. |
56 /100 VASAGATAN 7 Rather busy pub by the central station. Lots of standard things on tap, but decent guest list too. Not a cozy place and very welcoming in any way, but a good spot to wait for the train or bus. |
62 /100 Belgobaren (Bar) BRYGGARGATAN 12 Rather busy place close to the central station. Certainly more the restaurant feeling than a bar, but good for just a drink too. Decent selection of Belgian beers plus some Belgian style beers brewed for the place. Pleasant patio in a not so busy street. |
80 /100 Stigbergets Fot (Bar) GÖTGATAN 5 33 taps, good service, good selection, helpful and decently knowledgeable staff. Probably my favourite spot in Stockholm. |
60 /100 Söderkällaren (Bar) TJÄRHOVSGATAN 12 Dive bar (drunks fighting and crying) with poor tap choice, but decent can selection of Duck Pond and Apex (thanks to Alfred from Mikkeller for telling us about this local haunt). Worth a quick stop, especially if you have someone to share ticks with. |
92 /100 Oliver Twist (Bar) REPSLAGARGATAN 6 Am excellent selection of beers on tap and for the real ale drinker 3 cask ales on hand pump, during my visit 2 of the cask ales were from Gothenburg, 1 local from Stockholm. A must visit if in Stockholm. |
76 /100 BrewDog Kungsholmen (Bar) ST ERIKSGATAN 56 Came here on 2.2.2023. Small Brew Dog bar with a good atmosphere and beer selection. 18 beers on tap. Had a Punk and a Hop Tiger. Excels quality. Great chicken wings. Seems they have a limit of 4 beers per person and thereafter stop serving you. Not sure if that’s a Swedish rule. |
58 /100 The Flying Dog Stockholm (Bar) VASAGATAN 52 Came here on 1.2.2023. Agree with previous reviews the ambiance is not great, a bit worn out. At least they have a few Mikkellers. The Finnish craft beers on tap were not available. Could not figure out how or whether they are related to Flying Dog in Frederick Maryland. |
78 /100 Pressklubben (Restaurant) VASAGATAN 50 Came here on 1.2.2023. Good to be back in Stockholm first time since 15 years. This Belgium beer bar and restaurant is located close to a few other beer places centrally in Stockholm. Very good selection of Belgium beers. 15 beers on tap and many great beers in bottles. A walkable fridge full of large bottles, many sour beers. Nice ambiance and friendly service. |
86 /100 NORRLANDSGATAN 3 One of the best Systembolaget in Sweden when it comes to temporary beers. Not the widest regular assortment, but what's there is very nice.
Also top-tier in Sweden regarding wines and spirits. |
100 /100 Zum Franziskaner (Restaurant) SKEPPSBRON 44 Stort utbud av tysk öl. Mest intressant det som roterar på fat. Av dessa är många riktigt bra höjdaröl. Service supertrevlig och professionell. Maten alltid vällagad och god. Kan starkt rekommenderas. |
66 /100 Brisket & Friends (Restaurant) UPPLANDSGATAN 7 Went here for lunch on 8th September 22. It was quiet. Small selection of beers, middle of the road stuff. The food I had was pretty good, pork belly with ginger glaze and burnt ends. Worth going for the food, which was good Value also |
84 /100 Stigbergets Fot (Bar) GÖTGATAN 5 Visited here on 8th September 22. Passed by accident on the way to Oliver Twists, which was uninspiring this time. Anyway went back here and really liked it, nice and modern, good selection on a menu beamed on to the wall, the beers were all quality stuff and a mix of their own and some guests, I had 3 beers, all were excellent, I also had a cheeseburger, the service was great and the chap serving served me at my seat and mentioned that the cheeseburger at this venue had won top 3 in the country - it was a tasty one for sure. I headed outside and sat on a small heated terrace, which was good to watch the world go by. This is well worth a stop. |
82 /100 Zum Franziskaner (Restaurant) SKEPPSBRON 44 Visited here, Thursday, 8th September 22. It was already pretty busy at 4pm. Sat at the bar, the choice of beers is decent, nice mix of quality German Pils, Helles, Hefe and also Swedish brews. Served in 0.3 litre as well as 0.5. I had 4 very nice beers here. Food also looked good and the pub interior is authentic and comfortable. They put on a cask, to a round or applause from locals, it was drained in an hour. Good fun |
62 /100 Systembolaget Stockholm - Drottninggatan (Beer Store) DROTTNINGGATAN 22 A state monopol store located in the lowest floor of the shopping centre in central Stockholm. Fairly decent selection of beers, both domestic and imported, although I expected a bit more domestion ones. Prices are decent for the area. |
68 /100 Omnipollos Flora (Bar) KUNGLIGA HUMLEGÅRDEN 1 Located in the Humlegarden park in central Stockholm. Nice outside area with some good looking food. The tap list is a bit small, could do with a bit more of their brews, but still a good place for a nice sunny day. |
76 /100 Stigbergets Fot (Bar) GÖTGATAN 5 A place located in Sodermalm are, just across the water from Gamla Stan, close by to Omnipollo Hat. Small outside seating, larger modern indor place. Quite nice taplist, although prices are typical for the area - pricy. Still, a nice place to stop by. |
68 /100 Omnipollos Hatt (Bar) HOKENS GATA 3 A cool looking place in Sodermalm area, just across the water from Gamla Stan. Smaller outside are and fairly large inside, full of people in the evening. Beers are pricey, but that's typcial for Stockholm. The tap list could be a bit more special, but still ok. |
80 /100 Oliver Twist (Bar) REPSLAGARGATAN 6 Visit September 2008. |
50 /100 FRÖSUNDAVIKS ALLÉ 15 Visited June 2022 |
66 /100 LJUSSLINGAN 15 Visited with Brugmansia and fonefan. A very busy modern place at a very cool seaside (or channelside?lakeside?) modern location, very much filled up with the youngish yuppie-like population. One can see the Carlsberg/Brooklyn money there. Some confusion with the service, including managing to hear 1x0.2l of a beer as 2x0.3l and then 2x 0.2l.... but at times there was only one person behind the bar in, as I've said, a busy place, so I can't blame them that much. The IPAs were quite good, not fantastic, the lagers so-so (kinda dug the Kellerbier, didn't dig the Bock), as was the sour. Some guest taps (I think there are 10 or 12 taps overall, plus a bottle selection, including some expensive rarities), including one brand new O/O beer. Ah, dunno, I just wasn't thrilled with the vibe of this place. |
46 /100 FRÖSUNDAVIKS ALLÉ 15 The Royal Park Hotel is a palatial building, seemingly a pretty exclusive hotel, with some bars & restaurants. Since recently it's been operating a brewery as well, which is definitely a cool thing. However, the less cool thing was the fact that at the time of our visit they were out of it. And when they are out of their own beers, the only alternative are a few garbage omnipresent macros (not befitting of such an exclusive location, but what can you do). Be very, very sure they have their own beers before visiting! |
72 /100 LJUSSLINGAN 15 Visit june 2022 |
70 /100 LJUSSLINGAN 15 Visited june 2022. Large brewpub. Very busy at our arrival on a wednesday evening. Nice selection of their own beers and guestbeers as well. They do flights of 4 beers.
They do food, rather quickly after ordering. Lots of seats both inside as outside, overlooking the harbour. Service was ok.. |
72 /100 Mikkeller Södermalm (Bar) ÖSTGÖTAGATAN 33 I have visited this place twice since the opening in July 2021. The location is nice, close to Medborgarplatsen. (1 minute walk to Soldaten Svejk, 7 minutes walk to Omnipollos Hatt, 12 minutes to Akkurat ) The place itself is fairly small but with more seating and tables upstairs. 20 beers on tap during my visits, mostly beers from Mikkeller. Good and fast service. I prefer Mikkeller Östermalm (more "Copenhagen feel" at that bar) but I will for sure visit this place now and then. |
72 /100 STORA NYGATAN 20 A fairly small place with a patio in Gamla stan. Almost always crowded but still with an ok service. 10 beers on tap during my most recent visit in late July 2021. The burgers are tasty. |
72 /100 Omnipollos Flora (Bar) KUNGLIGA HUMLEGÅRDEN 1 A cozy Biergarten, at least when the sun is shining. 8 beers on tap, mostly their own ones. Located in Humlegården not far from other places like Man in the Moon and Mikkeller Stockholm.
