UPDATED: JUN 25, 2019 Backlog, On tap, pours a hazy golden with medium white head. Tiny bubbles and some nice lacing in the inner tulip. Nose and flavor are spices, flowers, grass, pepper, and other Belgian yeasty funk. Light to medium bodied with medium carbonation leading to a dry finish.

(Bottle) Hazy deep golden colour with big, frothy, white head. Fruity nose with white bread, hay, flowers, grapefruit, pineapple, honey, citrus peel and a touch of yeast. Fruity, spicy taste with notes of grapefruit, pineapple, white bread, herbs, honey, hay, some yeast and a balanced spicy, citric bitterness in the finish. Medium body, quite dry. Fresh, tasty and quiet spicy. Nice one.

UPDATED: JUN 2, 2018 Bottle from Dutch's, from notes. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a large fluffy off white head. The aroma and flavor have grapefruit citrus, toasted malts, caramel, straw, florals, light spice, additional fruit, Belgian candi sugar, decent.

Jabic (983) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - OCT 19, 2017
2012 Bottle. Ar: Lots of nougat and sherry; slight rosy perfume and alcohol. Ap: Deep gold and hazy; medium-large off-white head with excellent retention, leaving a thick cap of foam. T: Very oxidized; cardboard and sherry; black tea and sweetness, almost cloying; some orange and bruised apple; low bitterness, no accompanying hop flavor. P: Medium body with medium-high carbonation; finish is medium-dry. O: This beer looks great in the glass, but the aroma, flavor, and palate are just a mess; hard to tell what this beer might have been when fresh, but it hasn't held up well.

June 19, 2014 - at Volo - bottle pour. Hazy bubbly orange-gold with a pillowy lasting white head. Love that aroma - lemon peel, intense floral low-level bitterness - sharp, crisp, a bit of funk and alcohol; lemongrass? Taste is terrific - light; lemon, tart tree fruit, buiding floral bitterness, restrained alcohol. Solid body, very lively mouthfeel - the fruity malt drops off in the beginning of the finish, the floral bitterness and tart lemon zest take it home. Fun stuff!

White foamy full lasting head. Cloudy deep golden honey colour. Aroma is moderately malty with fruity (apple, pear) and light hoppy notes. Flavor is hoppy with light fruity (green apple) tones, ending in an hoppy finish. Light bodied.

bottle @ Belmont Party Supply / Dayton OH --- (best by 1/14/15) - Aroma of grass and malt. Cloudy dirty light amber color, frothy white head that stays, hanging lace strands. Taste is somewhat bitter malt that adds medium carbonation on the swallow, then turns progressively sweeter as it moves to a lightly bittered finish. Since it’s over a year past its date, I suspect it is much better than what I have here: a good Belgian that has become a little bitter.

Chiara amaro ben deciso come da aspettative, profumo leggero agrumato e non erbacei buona per un aperitivo

Troebel goudblond bier met mooie witte schuimkraag met fijne bellen. Geur: frisse fruitige hoppige neus. Smaak: aangenaam bitter, agrum en goed in balans met wat zoetig. Goede koolzuurprikkel. Afdronk: bitterig. Leuk, meer van dit!
