Maracuja05 (1871) - Mainz, Rineland-Palatinate, GERMANY - OCT 16, 2017
15-08-17 // bottle shared. Pours a deep black beer with a beige head. Nose choloaty. Taste is dominant bitter chocolate, dark roasted malts, slightly coffee. Oyster sherlls not really tasteable. Smooth texture.

pootzboy (1815) - Kitchener, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 10, 2017
1/2 liter bottle - pours an viscous dark brown=black light defying brew in the glass with a smallish mocha cap that lasts - aromas are pungent with roast grains, dark dried fruit some fusel. Flavour follows imperials stouts fairly close with a lighter body and some calcium mellowing of natural acidity...light drying in the finish, lush roast astringency...nice impy stout, drinkable, a bit pricey.

drpimento (3800) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 19, 2017
Outstanding traditional foreign Stout. Aroma is a hint of licorice roast dark malt coffee. Flavor is like nose coffee comes out more in the Finish very nice.

slowrunner77 (13004) - Reno, Nevada, USA - APR 27, 2017
Very dark brown, khaki head that lasts. Heavily roasted aroma and flavor with more than expected bitterness, some dark fruit and light brine. I’m a fan of the style, and this was done pretty well.

3.5
bottleforager (3211) - Gray, Maine, USA - APR 18, 2017
Bottle purchased and consumed at Oxbow Portland. Pours a rich burnt umber with three fingers of khaki foam. Nose is roast forward with some underlying dried plum, ash and bakers cocoa. Palate follows with medium to full mouthfeel, soft carbonation even though there was quite a head, lots of roasted grain, spent coffee grounds, tangy plum, salty cocoa. Slight metallic flavor lingers which detracts a bit from the overall appeal but a decent offering.

Nisse666 (8112) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - APR 17, 2017
Bottle many thx to Erzengel cons 2017-04-17 Göteborg
AR: heavy roasted malt, black chocolate, sour coffee,
AP: dark brown body, wee traces of cream brown head
F: heavy roasted malt, sour coffee, hint of dark chocolate, wee ink - don’t think oyster shells and anything to a beer?! Second thought salt liquorice,,,
