Jack Hammer has been single handedly ripping it up for quite some time. Now this IPA, has spawned four hammer head off-springs. Black Hammer is the second of our super-charge hyped up hybrids.

Dark malt and American hops unite to bring a new age of bitterness. Pithy grapefruit and resin combine with a dark chocolate and roasty coffee hit to deliver a resonating bitterness that goes beyond IBUs.

Gorycz, a nawet rozgoryczenie tą puszką, bardzo przeciętne ipa w wersji czarnej, goryczka dominuje, ale nie ma tu żadnej przygody z piwem, nie warto zawracać podniebienia.

2016 catch up - Can at home - It was a good black IPA, but I have had better. Dare I say that there was a slight wateriness to it for me?. The hops and the malt were both present, but not one that I will seek out again.

Had the beer during the 2016 Kompaan Bloedbroeder festival. The looks are amazing. Pitch black on the naked eye, like a black IPA should be. In strong light the beer has a nice dark ruby glow. On top there is a nice small layer of almond coloured foam, that collapses quickly to leave next to nothing. The smell is amazing. It is a real IPA smell. There are lovely strong bitter, slightly sour and a bit sweet hop aromas, giving hints of citrus fruits, especially grapefruit and zest, and some aromas of passion fruit. It again reminds me of Irish pale ales. But, besides the lovely tropical fruits I also smell some dark aromas of roasted barley, giving the beer a rough edge. The balance is good. The taste is lovely. The hops are exactly the same as in the smell. There is also a lovely touch of roasted barley. There also are some clear alcohol aromas. There also is a minimal touch of something that reminds me of some oakyness. Lovely balance. The palate is nice, with a high carbonation. Lovely beer.

Can 330 ml / Amstein - St-Lgier (CH). Dark beer with a beige head and numerous laces. Toasted aromas, grapefruit, resin, coffee-choc, tropical fruits, in brief, with the full panoply of US hops. That we find to the taste, intense and powerful. Coffee, dark choc, hoppy perfumes of citrus, tropical fruits, resin, herbs and so on. Its rough with a very dry finale, roasted and long. Good beer of this brewery become industrial but continues to brew some interesting beers.
