COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Blueberry & mosaic black IPA. This Black IPA has been in the back of our minds for close to a year now. We've always enjoyed how well Mosaic hops and Blueberry work together, really bringing out the deep, dark fruit character of the hops rarely appreciated in a lighter IPA. Blue Falcon showcases 20kg of the former and 30kg of the latter over a dark-as-night, round and silky malt base with copious oats and a sprinkling of Carafa in the mash and then darkened with the minimalist of addition of roast flavour.

Can sample at a tasting at Yoav’s place. Thanks rayaron. Murky brown, huge and frothy brown head. Hoppy and slightly roasty aroma with some caramel, bitter and slightly roasty with some green hops in the mouth. Fizzy, medium body, roasty and bitter finish.

Can. Probably long in the tooth but has been in my very cold fridhe since purchase. Almost opaque dark brown beer, decent tan head. Smooth and slightly soft palate, reasonable fine carbonation. Soft mellow dark malts. Traces of cream and chocolate. Light piney hop. Modest ripe berries. Very soft light citric peel. Touch of blueberry in the light smooth finish. Tidy.

Can shared at a tasting at Yoav's place. Deep brown with big bubbly brownish head. The aroma has notes of berries, some roastiness and citrusy hops. Bitterish flavor with notes of berries, roast, citrus and some coffee. Too carbonated, medium-bodied. Cool label but unbalanced beer.

Can shared at a tasting. Hazy amber brown with a huge beige head. Smell of chocolate, caramel, earthy hops. Sweetish flavors of berries, chocolate, nuts, dark fruits, light acidity. Light-medium bodied, slightly over-carbonated.

7%ABV. Black IPA. Nose has resinous, sappy, esp pine sap aroma. Mouthfeel is fresh juicy, like a fresh-squeezed citrus. Palate has roasty flavors of burnt toast and dark wheat toast. Hop flavors are green mango, pine sap, resin. Finish is medium-long and with a weird charcoal-like bitter over which is layered a fruity sour. Overall, a bit of a jarring ride with the flavors not flowing through particularly well, leaving the impression of flavor peaks rather than a series of pleasant highlights.
