A very dark brown black beer with a big beige foamy head ; ok retention ; ok lacing ; nice appearance. Red berries small (blueberry, blackberry), light resin, light roasted cereal, caramel. Can shared at a tasting at Yoav's place. Deep brown with big bubbly brownish head. The aroma has notes of berries, some roastiness and citrusy hops. Bitterish flavor with notes of berries, roast, citrus and some coffee. Too carbonated, medium-bodied. Cool label but unbalanced beer.

7%ABV. Black IPA.
Nose has resinous, sappy, esp pine sap aroma.
Mouthfeel is fresh juicy, like a fresh-squeezed citrus. Palate has roasty flavors of burnt toast and dark wheat toast. Hop flavors are green mango, pine sap, resin.
Finish is medium-long and with a weird charcoal-like bitter over which is layered a fruity sour.

Can from a Ten Green Bottles, Newcastle-Under-Lyme. Pours a deep brown to black colour with a medium beige head. Aroma of blueberry, some lightly roasted malts, coffee, slight chocolate, other dark fruits and subtle vanilla. Taste of lightly roasted malts, chocolate, blueberry, some coffee, slight vanilla, a little caramel, a hint of ash and subtle herbal hops. Medium bodied and moderate carbonation. A bittersweet, blueberry and chocolate bitterness in the finish. This is better than expected, sweet blueberry and chocolate chip ice cream flavours with lightly roasted and coffee bitterness. February 2018 - Saturday Tasting at Leighton's, Hackney. Can shared with big thanks to Ade. As 'Northern Monk Patrons Projects 3.04 Attack on Blue Falcon', 7.0%. Dark brown, opaque, foamy light brown head leaves light lacing. Aroma is ashy, parma violet, little cherry, cocoa. Body is light and frothy with tingly carbonation. Taste is ashy, dusty, burnt brownie, quite dry and floral into the finish. Quite nice. (7-4-7-4-15=3.7)
