COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Unfiltered Famous for their Saison Ale, Brasserie Dupont is also renowned in Belgium for their Moinette. This sturdy ale has an herbal bouquet that indicates its well hopped character. But unlike its drier cousin, its body is fuller and rounder with a slightly sweet finish. Delicious before a meal and with foods like marinated meats and barbecue.

sinte (856) - Udine, ITALY - FEB 22, 2024
UPDATED: FEB 22, 2024 Bottle 0.33L. Hazy deep copper body with an average, frothy, tan head, mostly diminishing with some lacing, though. Moderate malty (caramel, toasted) aroma with notes of red fruits, nuts and figs. Moderate-to-heavy sweet and light bitter flavour; long-lasting sweet finish with some alcoholic warming. Full body with oily-to-creamy texture; soft carbonation. Very nice one!

UPDATED: SEP 17, 2023 Pours ruby color with a beige average head. Musky aroma, almost like white chocolate can smell. Not too attractive. Taste of sweet malt, Belgian yeast. Hides alcohol well.

evergreen0199 (5930) - Chorleywood, Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - FEB 24, 2023
UPDATED: FEB 24, 2023 Bottle from Dranken Vandewoude, Veurne, Belgium. A dark ruby/brown coloured pour with a medium off white/beige head on top. Yeasty, malty, caramel, dark fruit taste/aroma. Not had this for many years, a lot sweeter than I remember. Decent enough gear from Dupont.

Dacrza (1662) - Great Meadows, New Jersey, USA - NOV 12, 2022
UPDATED: NOV 12, 2022 DATE: November 11, 2022... OCCASION: a second straight State Sectional championship won tonight, we begin watching Andor... pours an opaque, purplish brown body whose head swiftly lags to an off-white pencil-thin ring... sharp plum, black cherry, pastry, sweet dough, and various berries make for a robust aroma... a dry, medium-bodied, wine-like warmth that is slick, smooth and way too easy to drink... some flattened cola hints, but agreeable overall... plum, red grape, sweet dough, berries, some booze, rose petals, brown sugar, and hard fruits make this a slow-sipper that might not be worth the price point... its overall experience is stately, a good pairing with meats and cheeses or a dessert--as a dessert itself...

LagerGuide122 (909) - - SEP 20, 2022
UPDATED: SEP 20, 2022 330ml bottle brewed in Belgium at 8.5%. Opaque ruddy conker-brown with a neat, good-duration head. Light baking spice, clove and cinnamon, separated by a herbal tinge and banana hint from mellow toffee and chocolate malts. Moderate carbonation, solid yet refreshing body. Initial sprightly chocolate and banoffee, with some juicy red fruit - redcurrant and perhaps red cherry. Hints of chocolate, banana and hedgerow in the aftertaste. Hints - the barest hints - of clove and cinnamon arrive with warmth. Dupont curtails the sweetness well in a finish whose bitterness itself is understated. A little focussed, perhaps; a little short on the palate, maybe - possibly even too airy and mellow for those seeking a truly opulent Dubbel. But boy is it good to drink, remarkably refreshing, with not a sign of that 8.5% ABV.

UPDATED: JUL 14, 2022 In vergelijking met de heerlijke blond is deze wT niksig. Hij heeft een mooie zachtzoete smaak, licht zuurtje. Plakkerig op de tong. Tamelijk onuitgesproken.
