Nice spacious brewpub near of our hotel, so we can drink all - nice idea with o'clock flights, many other beers in the fridge we can bring with us at home. Nice variability of styles (dunkelweizen isn't such common.) |
84 Came for lunch before a Sens game. Food was solid. They do flights and we had the “clock” 12 3oz pours. Beer ranged from excellent (triple) to a couple misses(marzen) with most 9/12 good or better. So very good work beer stop. Had a glass of the triple after the “clock”-life is good. |

90 Fun place, and my first beery stop in Quebec. In an old water pumping station of some sort right next to a canal. Street parking can be tight but there are a couple of public lots next to the canal a few blocks south. Interior is large and spacious but I headed straight to the large patio under a bridge crossing said canal. Plenty of umbrella tables. Table service was quick, efficient and friendly. 16 beers on tap, available as al Montre, four 3 ounce pours, or l'Horloge, 12 3 ounce pours. I went big and took my time. Having tasty food was a big plus, mussels seemed to be the most popular dish. Beers were decent enough, a bit on the safe side but a huge variety of styles including a doppelweizenbock, but the hoppy beers were my favorites (not a single NEIPA in the group). A must-visit in Gatineau. |
74 Cool spot in the heart of Gatineau, easily walkable from downtown Ottawa. Large space with lots of patio seating. They had 12 beers on tap when I visited, with 12 x 3 oz pours or a fixed 4 x 3 oz flight — though they let me pick 4 since it wasn’t busy. Beers were mostly competent, with bone clearly infected beer that the bartender denied was off. Reasonably priced and good service overall. Worth a stop in Gatineau. |
82 Just went to pick up some beer from their store. We'll have to try the food another time. Great location, great set up. Went my second time on March 30th 2019 to celebrate my nephew’s 19th birthday, tried the food and the clock samplers, nice happening. |
94 An unprecedented range and selection of own-brewed beer. Local history through the building and the mini museum add to the experience. Most staff know the beers very well and the service is a cut above. The regular food fair is solid, with restaurant quality specials adding variety for repeat visitors. If it is summer, definitely try the terrace - a very cool location to sip a few great beers. |
74 An easy walk across the river from Ottawa, this place is huge and can get very busy and noisy! An old stone building with a very large outdoor seating area, it has an appealing look to it. The food going out looked delicious but I had already eaten. Unfortunately I left all of my beer ratings behind, but I remember being happy! It would be a top priority for me to return here just so I can properly rate the beers again. |

70 One of the best breweries in the Ottawa region. Restaurant is inside a very nice old building. Interesting concept and layout. The museum is ok. Service is hit or miss. If it’s a Friday afternoon you can forget about caring stuff, the place is packed with people. I still can’t forget how a couple of years ago, they pretended my reservation was not confirmed and it was for a waiting table. Our group of 10 people waited for 2 hours without getting a table. Since then they changed their reservation system and it’s much more reliable. The selection is mostly limited to their stuff, with some guest taps. The tray of 12 samples is a very nice way to try the best they have to offer. They do have a store onsite where you can get some bottles. Food is probably their best attraction. Prices are average for Ottawa region. Worth a visit. |
