Titanic Dr. Rudi
Cask at Sun, Stafford. Pours golden yellow with a medium sized foamy almost white head and good lacing. There’s floral hops and mango in the aroma – but not to any great extent. In the mouth it starts off slightly bitter with a creamy texture but the bitterness quickly increases to dominate. Flavour has floral hops, pine resin and mango plus a hint of ginger. Later on generic citrus becomes prominent alongside traces of lychee and kiwi, and this leads to a foul tasting sticky finish. This was a very nice beer – until let down by the citrus.

Titanic Avalon
Cask at Bod, Alsager. Pours golden amber with a medium sized foamy almost white head and good lacing. There’s floral hops and citrus in the aroma. In the mouth there is a very brief sweetness before floral hoppy bitterness comes flooding through with plenty of citrus, mango and melon. Finish is dry and sticky. This is decent, but a little too much citrus for my tastes.

Titanic Plum Porter
Pours dark red/brown, thin head. Nose of plum and little else. Tastes of that plum flavouring, roast malt and a surprising kick of bitterness. It's the bitterness that hangs around. Not bad, certainly not the worst fruit flavoured beer.

Cask conditioned at the Royal Blenheim, Oxford. Amber with off white head. There is a sweet, orange juice, marmalade flavour to this from the off. Fuller malts with a slightly smoked note. Fullish on the palate, gets drier through the beer. It's fine.

Titanic Plum Porter
500ml bottle. Pours a deep brown with a ruby tint, tan head. Aroma is plum but very bubblegummy, seems like it'll be sweet as hell. Taste is very plummy but it's a sweet, artificial like bubblegum kind of plum, there's some dark malts there but this is all about the plum, finishing with an oddly sharp bitter tang. Light-medium bodied. Very nice but I'm sure this would be so much better conditioned on plums rather than having "plum flavouring" added to it.

Titanic Cherry Porter
Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol October 2023. Dark, ruby red, in colour, with a slight, beige, head. Some vibrant cherry upfront, followed by a solid maltiness, more subdued dark berries, and a finish which avoided being overly sweet. Good.

Titanic / Thornbridge Carpathia
Cask at Sun, Stafford. Pours a deep copper with a small foamy off-white head and god lacing. Not much of an aroma – just some nuts and malts. In the mouth sweet malts and marmalade are immediately apparent. It as a rich and creamy texture and gets increasingly bitter as time progresses. Later on there are hints of ginger and caramel too. Finish is dry and quite bitter. This is a decent ESB, though it lacks a certain something.
