Huh... this is interesting. Tastes a bit like Corona with lime and salt. It is really smooth, and fairly thin-bodied, but the flavor profile is pretty balanced.

Dogfish Head Namaste White

Pours gold with a thick white head. Aroma is a floral pine mix. Taste follows the nose. This beer is probably a bit old so Iím not getting any hop flavor. Overall if Iím getting a DFH ipa Iíll get the 90min instead.

Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA
Somehow missed tasting or reviewing Dogfish Headís flagship IPA all this time - anyhow this well-balanced brew will definitely now become a regular feature in my beer selection. From the bottle, pours a pale gold-tinged amber color with steady foam and lacing, hoppy but not resiny aroma of pine and citrus, some bready malt. Flavor follows as a more mellow and floral hoppy profile with a background of slight caramel malt, moderate bitterness that doesnít stick to your palate. Northwest piney flavors cede to an aftertaste of citrus tang and orange rind. Medium-bodied and smooth, overall an enjoyable melding of East and West coast IPA accents.

Dogfish Head Palo Santo Marron
bottle @ Chief Market / Lima OH --- Aroma of dark malt, dark fruit and earth. Opaque dark brown color, brown head that drops to a thin cover, lace bands. Taste is syrupy dark roasted malt with wisps of smoke and a subtle alcohol overtone. Prune, black currant, and molasses enter after the swallow. Very strong, very heavy in the belly, which keeps it from "top dog" status.

Dogfish Head Higher Math
12 oz. bottle split with the wife. Pours a ruddy red/amber/brown with a minimal short lived white head. Interesting aroma featuring chocolate covered cherries, fig, dates, raisins and some wood tannin. Sorta sweet on the taste. More chocolate and cherry juice, dark pitted fruits, with damp earth and old wood. Kind of an odd combination, but would you expect anything less from Dogfish Head. Medium bodied and warm in the tummy. The high alcohol content shows itself on the swallow and in the gut.

Dogfish Head Flesh & Blood IPA
Pours a deep, reddish-copper, with mid-sized, lasting, pillowy head. Aroma is very grassy, with not much more of note. Flavor is bitter, with some citrus notes and a bit of hop bite. Itís got a lot of grass, too. I guess Iíd have thought thereíd be more citrus in this, given the name and ingredients.

Dogfish Head Fort
Cloudy amber pour, thin off white head, and a high effervescence, though with lots and lots of really tiny bubbles. The head, although small has great retention and the beer coats the glass a bit. Aroma is raspberries, lots of toffee, doughy yeast, caramel, alcohol, raw nuts and toast, smells like itís really sweet. Flavor is raspberries, caramel, lots of toffee, alcohol, dark fruit, a hint of licorice, red bell pepper, freeze dried berries and odd perfumey note. Pretty heavy body, creamy, chewy entry, light, but quite sharp carbonation, fairly dry (though still pretty chewy) finish, moderate alcohol burn. Pretty tasty, surprisingly clean, very much a Barleywine with berries, but pretty light on character for the big abv%

Finally got my damn hands on this one! So... sort of met my expectations: intense, boozy, oily, slightly spicy, and lots of malt to balance the considerable hoppiness. Of course I am happy to try, but would not intentionally seek out in the future. single 12oz bottle

Tap. A taster. Aroma is richly malt malt and dark fruit molasses with heavy alcohol overtones (18%). Has a liquor sweetness. Pours dark with little top. Carbonation flat and oily palate. Anyone who drinks 10z or 30cl may well not care.

Dogfish Head Indian Brown Ale
355ml bottle. Clear, dark brown colour with ruby glimmer and small to average, creamy, half-way lasting, moderately lacing, beige head. Spicy aroma of roasted barley, hints of burnt coffee, burnt caramel, a touch of liquorice, molasses, coffee surrogate on celery basis. Taste is bitter, almost a bit tart, roasty-spicy malty, notes of roasted barley, hints of burnt coffee, burnt caramel, liquorice, a touch of molasses, coffee surrogate, raisin, blueberry, some hop bitterness. Unbalanced, harsh, more burnt than just roasty flavouring material.

Dogfish Head Beer for Breakfast
Appearance: near solid black with the merest hint of brown relief around the edges, three fingers of rocky beige head on an enthusiastic pour, good retention and lacing. (4/5) Aroma: coffee, spices, milk chocolate, maple syrup, light metallic. (7/10) Taste: moderate sweet, moderate-high bitter. (7/10) Palate: medium-full slightly oily body, moderate-soft carbonation, lingering bitter finish. (4/5) Iím certainly getting the coffee, spices, and maple syrup, but I canít say Iím detecting any scrapple. Mind you, Iíve never had scrapple, so Iím not sure I could identify it to save my life. Iím not getting any savoury or umami notes, put it that way. The coffee is pleasant enough on the front end, but ultimately ends up feeling a little overextracted, contributing a little metallic harshness to the finish. On the other hand, now I want to stay at DFHís Inn and order scrapple and beer for breakfast. (15/20) 7.5/10 #ryansbooze ryansbooze.com

Dogfish Head SeaQuench Ale
Pale, super hazy golden coloured body with a ridiculously large pure white head and a nice glow, probably one of the (if not the single) best looking goses iíve ever seen. Aroma of pale malt, sea water, salt, light funk and some wort - very mild in the nose. Light-bodied; Super subtle salt and funk flavours noticeable with the very faintest hit of sour funk and fruit noticeable, but this is basically just some salt water with carbonation and a touch of funk. Very mild in the palate with the funk, yeast and bread noticeable and thatís about it on top of a minor sour quality and some salt water. Overall, nice for an easy-drinking beer, but this doesnít really have much character - salt water and carbonation and thatís about it- some mellow funk and sour notes, but not enough to make this worthwhile, which is sad, because it looks great! I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Crystal City Wine Shop (20th Street Location) on 22-February-2017 for US$2,59 sampled at home in Washington a few blocks away on 23-April-2017.

GG, Seattle. Lingering tan cream around the edges. Heavy, jet black body. Fruity depths on the nose with some bitter, dark grain. Heavy sip that blends some bitter heavy malt with some relatively lighter jammy fruits, and a fair amount of alcohol rising. Some tannins and spice show up too, with a fair amount of alcohol brightness. Inky body. Interesting and well executed. A slight bit of wood if I look for it but itís a supporting player. I was skeptical but I like this.

GG, Seattle. Thick lingering foam, with an edge of pink to it. Red tea like golden body. Fruity tea nose. An herbal and dusty bitterness to the body, Iím figuring from the hibiscus. Fruit is a bit anonymous and underwhelming. But this drinks fairly well. Malty bitter base isnít fantastic. Overall a malty impression with some tea like citrus over the top. Fair tartness is pleasant.

GG, Seattle. Light citrus nose. A much creamier body than I was expecting, fairly strong lacto character. Nose has a fair amount of wheat. Very salty first impression. I get the mashup / blend of the three styles here. Odd, but it works ok. Nice tart citrus finish. Lot of fresh lime in the middle... with the salt it does make me think of Mexico. This is a beer that sounds odd but works well in the end.

This is what I would imagine eisbocking a Rochefort 10 is like. Big, dense an tawny. A brooding beer that keeps 18% in check well. The grape gives it a slightly acidic quality. A tad over bearing, but all in all a wonderful piece of beer as art.

Delicious piny hop flavor. A bit fruity too. Pours bright orange and clear. Nice color. Taste is really big and malt forward, surprisingly. Itís not a heavy malt. Itís a crystal sort of sweetness, to my palate. Definitely a little straw, bread, but reminds me of chewing on English crystal. Not at all cloying. Hop bitterness is there but not over powering. I get some orange notes I would guess is hops, but might be yeast. Everything comes together nicely. Thick thick body. A bit of alcohol warmth, which is a good warning since itís 17%, but it doesnít feel too warm. Delicious.

Dark clear, brown / reddish pour with thick beige foam. Full body with less fizz and a thick, sweet finish. Dried fruit in the nose and caramel, nutty malts, burnt sugar. Some light bitterness, but this is all about the malt mingling with the fruit. The finish has a little yeast and alcohol. A strong, complex approach to a Belgian that would compliment a range of flavorful foods.

Thick white foam and a deep golden clear pour. It already looks like a stronger pilsner than usual. Medium to full body and lots of fizz. The malt is strong in the nose and some fruity hops. The flavor is very complex, but well-balanced. More hops than expected but the malt combination balances it out. The flavors are not subtle and the 9% ABV amplifies this.
