3.8 5 Seasons Hop to Conclusion Pint served at the brewpub (from Oct. 2011 notes). . Clear, dark amber with a thin light tan head. Leaves some lacing. Light aroma with hops and malt in about equal proportion. Taste starts mainly malty, turns more hoppy, finishes with a mostly hoppy, and has a surprisingly strong and long lasting hop aftertaste. The N. American hops make this a bit earthy and more bitter than an average pale ale. Medium body with some crispness. Quite dry. A unique and pleasing new worth seeking out. Classified by brewer as an IPL. Monday, January 25, 2016

3.3 5 Seasons 285 Gridlock ESB On tap at the brewpub (from Jan. 2012 notes) ... the only way to enjoy their beers, almost all of which are worthy of wider distribution. This "traditional English style ale brewed with four malts and four hops", arrived with a large creamy tan head that had exceptional durability. Moreover, the glass was mostly covered by creamy bubbles as the beer lowered. The beer is a dark reddish-brown; clear and attractive. Somewhat dank and earthy aroma, rather par for the course with an ESB, but not appreciated nonetheless. The flavor is richer, i think, than usual in this style, with a slightly lower malt/hop ratio. In any case, there is a clear hop spiciness together with a rich malt base. Monday, January 25, 2016
