Cybercat	4.1 5 Seasons Quint-Apple Calvados Barrel-Aged Since 5 Seasons has long since gone out of business, I feel fortunate to enjoy this. Pours opaque chocolate with minimal head. Aroma has apple, spices and toasted malt. Flavor presents apple, toasty malt, sweet cinnamon, bourbon and woody hints. Texture yields good full body and lively fizz. chinchill	3.7 5 Seasons Hopgasm {From May 2011 notes & April 2016 pint}. Made with 5 hops including Simcoe and Amarillo. A clear dark amber with a creamy tan head; head has good retention. Aroma- very hoppy with citrus, floral and pine notes. T - hidden in the aroma, this IPA has a strong malt base lending a richer and less bitter flavor. Hops still dominate, especially in the nice long-lasting finish. M - Smooth; (too?) light carbonation O - despite ample malt, still recommended for hopheads. Monday, January 25, 2016
chinchill	3.8 5 Seasons Hop to Conclusion Pint served at the brewpub (from Oct. 2011 notes). . Clear, dark amber with a thin light tan head. Leaves some lacing. Light aroma with hops and malt in about equal proportion. Taste starts mainly malty, turns more hoppy, finishes with a mostly hoppy, and has a surprisingly strong and long lasting hop aftertaste. The N. American hops make this a bit earthy and more bitter than an average pale ale. Medium body with some crispness. Quite dry. A unique and pleasing new worth seeking out. chinchill	3.3 5 Seasons 285 Gridlock ESB On tap at the brewpub (from Jan. 2012 notes) ... the only way to enjoy their beers, almost all of which are worthy of wider distribution. This "traditional English style ale brewed with four malts and four hops", arrived with a large creamy tan head that had exceptional durability. Moreover, the glass was mostly covered by creamy bubbles as the beer lowered. The beer is a dark reddish-brown; clear and attractive. Somewhat dank and earthy aroma, rather par for the course with an ESB, but not appreciated nonetheless. The flavor is richer, i think, than usual in this style, with a slightly lower malt/hop ratio. In any case, there is a clear hop spiciness together with a rich malt base. Monday, January 25, 2016
chinchill	3 5 Seasons Hot Nuts Scotch Ale From a cask at the 2016 Atlanta Cask Ale Festival. Hazy red brown body topped by a bubbly beige head. Pleasing spicy aroma dominated by cardamom and cinnamon. Over spiced but certainly not bad. Still, the spicing is too strong for the underlying scotch ale. Pleasant spicy aftertaste with cinnamon, cardamom and faint ginger. Body is a bit thin for style. Monday, January 25, 2016
chinchill	4.2 5 Seasons Redneck Reindeer On tap at the Prado location in December 2015. Pours dark mahogany in color with a decent head that leaves almost no lacing. The aroma mostly reflects the bourbon and bourbon barrel aging. This is not a bad thing, especially with Heaven Hill involved. Flavor: very mildly bitter. Mouthfeel: soft and smooth, with warming but almost no heat from the high (~ 9,5%) ABV. Light carbonation with a medium body. O: Highly recommended for fans of this style.. Sunday, December 20, 2015

Firm quality coffee note rides bed of roast malt and chocolate, earthy and molasses notes. Flavor is mainly good roast coffee, while roast malt, chocolate molasses and subtle nutty notes provide the background. Mouthfeel features body that is th for a stout, but has good fizz. Smell: A sufficiently sweetish nose, smelling of toffee and milk chocolate, boosted by notes of apple, banana and cracked clove. Taste: An amalgam of chocolate and sweet toffee with well-toasted bread. Slight backdrop of roastiness. Fruity accents of apple, light banana. Minor herbal hop character and light bitterness. Sweet, with a significant bitterness, and a long, acrid, bitter aftertaste. Medium to heavy body, chalky, and thick. Overall, this is a weak, unpleasant porter. Could be much better.
