Upland Aronia
Bottle: Hazy, raspberry red with a pinkish-white head. Scent is raspberry, sour cherry. Taste is REALLY dry.....mixed berries, light, semi-sweet vinegar. .....While I wouldn't know a Chokeberry if I....well....choked on one.....I really liked it....a nicely different sort of berry flavour and pleasant dryness makes it a very satisfying sour.

Upland Oktoberfest Lager
Got this one in a 6 pack, and it was fresh. Maybe not the best beer of this style, but quite drinkable. At 6.7%, it can sneak up on you if you’re not used to drinking a 12 pack daily. For the ABV, it is very smooth. I liked this one quite a bit

Bottle. Pineapple, persimmon, peach, malt, sour milk, grass, and orange peel aroma. Hazy golden yellow with moderate white head. Lightly sweet pineapple, persimmon, malt, moderately sour lactic acid/vinegar, and mildly bitter orange peel flavor. Good body. Nice blend of fruits - comes out strong in the aroma but much more subtle in the flavor. Tasty.

Upland Mulberry
Bottle. Mulberry (blackberry/strawberry), vinegar, malt, and hay aroma. Dark purple with small pink head. Lightly sweet floral mulberry, malt, moderately intense sour vinegar, and mildly bitter dry grass flavor. Nice body. Not surprisingly the flavor is a bit light, which I expected from mulberries, but Upland did a nice job with this.

Upland Free Time Lager
Rated on 9-27-2017. The appearance of this canned beer is a small very fizzy off-white head that mostly diminishes, golden transparent body, lively, fast rising carbonation, and no lacing. The aroma presents honey and malt. The flavor is lightly bitter, honey, malt, sweet, and a dry finish. The mouthfeel is light carbonation and crisp. This beer is light-medium bodied. Overall, this is an easy drinking beer that is refreshing. It is a beer that I would purchase again.

Upland Free Time Lager
This canned brew from a bottle shop was served at a cool temperature and poured a very small sized head of foamy white colored bubbles that were quickly diminishing and left behind slightly hazy golden orange brown colored body and a fair lacing. The weak aroma was malt hop. The semi-sharp mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The ok flavor contained notes of hops and malt. An OK brew just nothing special.

The sourness is evident from the smell. It looks cloudy and a sort of golden yellow. It certainly has a sharp taste, but it's not as sour as some. Fairly drinkable.

Bottle. Hazy golden with a lacy white head. Very lemony aroma, apricot, ginger. Flavor is citrusy, mildly tart, lemon, spice, touch of bitterness. Medium body, average feel. Not bad, but not the greatest for the style.

Upland Paw Paw
Bottle @ home, acquired via trade with b3shine I believe. 2015 vintage (C15). Cloudy yellow appearance with spritzy carbonation. There are some nice elements to this beer. It's refreshing, not overly acidic, nice lactic element, and tasty tropical like fruit. Unfortunately, there is a gnarly green apple / chemical off note that just kills any joy I get from the beer. A drain pour I'm afraid to say.

Brewers Fork: pours lightly hazy gold with a white head. Aroma is basement, cheese and funky funk with some citrus and the like. I got the version hopped with citra according to the menu. Sour and dry and funky. Lingering wild aftertaste.

12floz bottle, notched BBD: 12.2017, $1.50 unit cost as part of a mix-six, pint glass. This is an American IPA that is deep gold in color, but straddles the gold/amber line otherwise. Strong on the pine flavor with a resin aftertaste.caramel note in the nose are much more subdued as toasted bread background noise to the trees. This beer had a fine introduction; however, it has a harsh follow through.

750 mL bottle. Hazy pinkish orange. Small white head that doesn't last. Smell is all cardamom. Maybe a little oak and acidity. But strong cardamom. Tastes of tart plums, but the tartness gives way quickly. A little sweet. Less cardamom, but it permeates and gives the while beer an earthy warm tone. Oak lends to that too. A bit of a tart plum spike in the back end. High carbonation. Medium body, seems like it will dry out, but doesn't quite. It's a fascinating profile and pretty tasty.

750 mL bottle. Pours a deep red with a small head. Smells of cherry flavoring and mint. How odd. Tastes a little less odd, given the ingredients. Cherry flavor is a little better. Not as medicinal as it smells, but still not quite authentic. Mint is more prominent in comparison and kinda tempers the cherry flavor. Mint lingers. Light tartness. Maybe some oak? Too high of carbonation. It's a zany combination of flavors. I don't get the cacao, but maybe I'm ok with that.

Nice RIS. Aroma's very rich, roasty, coffee, malty, bit of molasses. Flavor's like nose, very smooth, balanced, yet strong. Excellent body, some booze in the finish but that's okay. Great stuff.

Upland / Prairie Cursed Kettles
I'm a huge fan of RR's Consecration, by far being the best dark sour in America I've ever had to date. This Cursed Kettle is a good reminder that there is hope to one day have a taste of something similar outside of the California State line. The fermentation process uses Brettanomyces, which gives the similar experience of tart as Russian River's dark sour, however there's a strange lingering after taste of wood that I was not expecting. Still, this was very balanced. I wonder if a higher ABV would help mellow out the tart... regardless, this was still enjoyable for this out of towner. Perhaps another palette familiar with the Consecration won't be so forgiving.

Upland Harvest Ale
12oz bottle (courtesy of Headbanger) poured into a Shaker at 43°. Color is a hazy yellow amber with mellow carbonation and a thin head. Aroma is sweet and hoppy giving notes of citrus. It has a medium body with a crisp mouth feel. Flavor is citrus, pineapple and toffee with a bold peppery bitterness. Aftertaste is dry with the bitterness lingering on. Overall it's OK, as I drink it I'm getting a dirt like taste on the end that seems to come out of the bitterness.

Picked up a single 14.1-oz bottle, picked up at Riley's Wines of the World in Madison, Wisconsin. Pours a clear golden pale light amber colored brew with a fast dissipating off-white head that leaves behind a thin ring, Aroma of herbal spices, a touch of cinnamon, white pine, and some Belgian yeast. Taste is medium bodied, with flavors of tart light wintergreen, golden grain malt, some light tropical fruits, cream cheese and a hint of spice. Finish continues the mild tartness with some pine apple, strawberry and golden grain malt.
