St Peters English Lager
Lovely bit to this lager. with the dry hops mixed with some malt sweetness. Its a well balanced, bitter lager a real step above the macro brews. Not trying to add american hops or anything just pure, simple lager done right and well conditioned.

St Peters India Pale Ale

Quickly getting through thirds of beers I’ve been gifted and are taking up room. Bread and hay, some floral elements, dough. Bright gold, impressively so. Thin creamy white head. Some sweetness before it gets bitter. A hint of citrus. Malty base. Medium bodied. Slick. Soft carbonation. Long astringent finish. Fair enough. An OK gold.

St Peters India Pale Ale
This is the beer equivalent of a person in the witness protection program. Of Kenny G. Of that person from school who didn’t cause any trouble but also wasn’t funny or interesting. It’s so bland and unassertive that it actually becomes offensive.

The first sign is probably in its assertion on the bottle that IPA has "a medium maltiness." Right there you know you’re in for trouble. But then, surprisingly, it’s not cloying or malty but rather immensely bland. There’s some faint malt, a baby’s breath of hops at the end, and then... nothing. It’s fine. It’s alright. It beats water. But it doesn’t really taste like much, and it’s nowhere close to an IPA.

But, in its defense, it has a cool bottle. So, points for that.

50 cl. bottle @ home, gift from my family. Clear amber with a very thin white head. Grainy earthy aroma with some caramel and faint hops. Bitter taste. Almost a lager in aroma and mouthfeel or maybe a bitter. Even for an English IPA it’s really low on hops. Not bad though, nicely balanced.

Lovely ruby colour. Thin head. Deep chocolate smell. Malty syrupy taste which lingers on the tongue and becomes a bitter-sweet almost butterscotch flavour. Haven’t tasted another beer quite like it!

Thanks to bobinlondon for the bottle! Pours a ruby red color with a tan head. The smell is toasted malt, caramel and fruit. The taste is rich toasted malt, chocolate, caramel with some fruit then a dry ending. Light+ in body with average carbonation. Nothing note worthy but drinkable.

St Peters India Pale Ale
500ml bbMAR18, Waitrose Hull. - A very distinctively earthy bitter, boldly earthy-bitter like oversteeped black tea down to the lingering finish. Earthy caramel nose, wet dirtfloor, animal sweat. A rare metallic, rusty iron layer in flavour permeates the dried out, woody caramel - a prickpoint of honey and cocoa powder before that deep herbal, green walnut peel bitterness sets in, not in a fruity&flowery way IPA has become popular. Harshish, an odd one out in this interesting regional brewery’s output.

Bottle shared with Ashton McCobb. Pours clear ruby amber with a thin white. Strong malt syrup aromas, vaguely drainy too. Taste is better, but still syrupy. It’s OK I guess.

St Peters Old Style Porter

Almost black. Small brownish/dark yellow head, nice retention and lacing though. Moderately intense aroma of bitter chocolate and dark fruits, with hints of coffee. Taste is medium sweet and medium bitter with roasted malts, dark fruits (raisins), chocolate and coffee hints. Finish is also bittersweet with a slight bitter edge. Light to medium bodied with low carbonation, slightly silky mouthfeel. A balanced porter with a bit of complexity to it, but nothing impressing.

St Peters Cream Stout
Pours with a good amount of dense fluffly light brown foam. Color is pitch black. Fresh aroma has mämmi, dried plum, ground roasted coffee, caramel, some smokiness. Palate is a bit dry, but okay. Carbonation feels a bit "offset" in the sense that it’s perhaps too fine. Eventhough there’s an okay amount of carbonation. Taste is watery (the dominant taste, I find, is actually tap water). Additionally there are some sharp hops, but not too pronounced, light notes of dark chocolate, some burnt taste in the body, mint. A refreshing stout, but I don’t understand what the ’cream’ in the name refersh to. It could be perhaps fuller to my taste, because I find it slightly too light as a stout (although others might find this a good feature).

From 50cl bottle. Pours dark amber with practically no foam. Aroma is quote liquor-like, despite the low alcohol level, plus it has caramel, a hint of herbaceous, and nuts. Body is medium, with low carbonation. Taste is bitter, though delicate, a little like terrain, not citrus. Typical UK hop flavor. Finish is relatively long in bitterness.

Bottle. Pours a hazy gold with a thin, white head that disappears quickly. Nose is cherry, berry, toast, and smoke; quite light. On the tongue, it’s caramel, cherry, stone fruit, and smoke; there’s a faint ashy bitterness underneath, and a bit of wheat toast. Not much on the finish; it’s a little hollow. Good enough, but lacking in gravitas.

Strong roasted notes finished with lightly spiced dry hops. A slight metallic tinge.. thats unfortunate. Lovely rich colour and roasted aroma, not to mentione the beautiful bottles, makes a beer that tastes flat compared to its presentation. Its still by no means bad, but I find st peters makes beers that taste far too clean for my owm personal preferences.
