Whisky or Whiskey may differ in terms of the process in which they are made, ingredients used and how they taste. The US Whiskey is distilled thrice to produce a smoother and lighter spirit and they also use mix of grains unlike Scottish Whisky. The 6 types of Whiskeys (Scotch, Irish , Rye, Tennessee, Bourbon, Japanese Whiskey) can be differentiated from each other based on the type of grain used to make it.
