The term Oak Aged is used to represent aging in a fresh Oak (Wood) or by aging "on oak" using Oak Cubes, Oak chips or Oak Spirals. Most commonly, Oak Wood gives a powerful vanilla flavor. Barrels may also be toasted to varying degrees, and that imparts smoky or toasty flavors.
