My point wasn’t about the SS itself but for the German army as a whole, to counter the argument someone made that I’ve understood as the need for you to be collectively ashamed and not dare make any such references to the WW2 because some of your people served there.

Black & white is nice but there are too many shades of gray/grey to ignore.

Didn’t the SS recruit Americans who moved back to Germany at the wars start to help in the Battle of the Bugle offensive to serve as infiltraitors? I believe in Skorzeny’s units?
