Gone but not forgotten!

Me, I’m drinking a Cascade Figaro. Damn nice it is.

I heard. =) Wow it looks nice too. Great color and presentation.

What should I have next? I just bought sixpoint righteous ale. So here’s my story for the day.

I was in wegmans and I notice that after a year of 7/10/12 on all founders beer, they finally have some fresh centennial 6/13/19. So I pull the guy aside and say. First thing a beer geek is gonna do is pull the bottles, and I show him, and check the dates. He had the new stuff on the floor and the old stuff at eye level. I told him you need to switch this around so that these get bought and so that the distributor comes back with more.

Today, that ’s what they were doin’.

=)

That’s the first line of my strategy. The second is notifying the Brewery. Contacting the distributor, as they are the guilty ones, seems to me, at that point, to be a waste of time.

After four days in the high (12000 ft) mountains without a beer, a Deschutes Obsidian Stout last night, an Indian Wells Whiskey Barrel Amber this afternoon that was available as I drove past the brewery on Highway 14 on my trip home.

Tallgrass 8 Bit Pale Ale. Very refreshing, super-easy drinker here that still fits the APA style parameters well (hops bitterness kick in the finish). No heavy pine or anything catty, off-flavored, etc. Could enjoy these all day.

Finishing my night on Young’s Double Chocolate Stout. Got the smooth mineral water of Samuel Smith’s, the raisin-y British hops, and authentic dark chocolate to boot - not that lame milk chocolate crap. Only complaint is that it’s a tad watery.
