Getting started with Ellicottville Octoberfest. |
Having a little of a Ruination bomber. Pretty good one, though it lacks the floral element most Ruinations I’ve had before have had. Also a curious lack of pine, which is to my liking as I prefer IPAs with minimal to no pine. Very perfumey, bitter hops, and citrusy, though, with a good caramel malt backbone. |
Finishing the day on Mother’s Winter Grind, which is essentially cold coffee beer. No beer tastes more like real coffee than this one. No more until later this evening, though, as I have a meeting in three hours. |
Since my birthday is tomorrow and we will be up with grandkids, I am celebrating a little tonight with a pronghorn backstrap blue cheese steak and baked potato with a glass of Kern River Class V Stout for dinner and now a bottle of Kern River Citra with some cheeses. |

Just cracked my first Dirtwolf. Amazingly delicious it is almost as good as Cohiba Robustos https://www.cubancigarsbest.com/index.php/cohiba-robustos.html |
