Message ansalon beers 4964 º places 13 º 09:39 Thu 9/12/2013 Hop Dam - Hoppin Frog. Such a great beer: loads of tropical fruit combined with an assertive malt body and hop bitterness. Unseasonably warm here in Sweden so I’m sitting on my balcony in shorts drinking this which fits perfectly! Might be one of the last warm post-summer days so one better enjoy it while it lasts!

Almost picked up some tonight, but it’s just so darn expensive. Drinking Avery the Kaiser. Had high hopes based on the sounds of it and recommendation from craft store guy, but the ABV is very poorly hidden and takes over the beer.

I haven’t had Kaiser in ages but it is supposed to be in the OF mini tour at Old Chicago. I’ll see what I think of it now.
Message pinkie beers 470 º places 10 º 09:09 Fri 9/13/2013 I like to buy the same group of beers right around the holidays. All three chimays, plus orval and three philosophers, a fin du monde for new years. =) Just to have for the perfect snowy or rainy day like today. It’s been raining all darn day. I had anchor liberty ale. That one is falbulous. And I had peak organic fall summit. That one is less than fabulous.

Message kdm1984 beers 1098 º places 14 º 09:50 Fri 9/13/2013 Sierra Nevada Tumbler. Good, but not a fan of the smoke. I do not remember it being as smoky last year. Having this after drainpouring a not-so-pleasant Beck’s Oktoberfest (worst example of the style I’ve encountered yet).

Message pinkie beers 470 º places 10 º 07:44 Sat 9/14/2013 Morning y’all. =) Made a little cornbread and had that with some butter and honey for breakfats and put it together with some Smuttynose Robust Porter. Damn delicious is what it was.
