Salm Bräu

Visited January 2024. It’s a restaurant brewpub, which offers 5 beers on tap: Helles, Märzen, Pilsner, Weizen, Amber Lager. Very touristy as it’s located close to Belvedere Castle, you won’t see any locals or German speaking guests there. But that doesn’t mean that this is a bad place at all. Very good, friendly, prompt service. Good beers. Good food. Prices okay. I was satisfied.

We sat in the beer garden on a hot day - they had several huge spritzing fans keeping the area cool. It's smallish, and was a bit crowded, but pleasant enough - there was a table for 2 and that's all we needed. 5 x 1dl flights were 10e, which is fine as there wasn't even one duff one - the dunkel and weizen were lovely. It was a busy day, and it was food time, so there was a lot of confusion over whether we needed a menu, and whether we needed beer, and whether we could pay, and where the loos were, but we coped, and I wouldn't have wanted to trade places. The food menu looked quite tempting - local meaty fare - but we didn't eat. Good brewpub - reasonably recommended - just try to avoid peak hours. However, their new restauarant in the park - Stockl - has all the same beers, and a cider too, so perhaps just go there instead?

The place is very nice, with a pleasant 'beer hall' vibe. Nice decor and layout. The beer range is OK but the quality is mediocre. Didn't eat but the food looked pretty good. Service was OK but not super friendly. Good vibes otherwise. Worth visiting for new beers but don't expect great things.

Local turístico, variedad de cervezas propias. Comida típica. Bien si estás por la zona.

They do flights and English was spoken. I was sitting in beergarden which wasn't big. Bad thing with beergardens is that people smoke there. Beer was decent, nothing exciting. Service quicker than normal. Refreshing after walk in a park.

Good place only if you’re visiting the Belvedere , I had 2 beers Marzen ( not too bad ) and Pils which was a diacetil bomb .. plenty of tourists obviously

A place located next to the entrance to the (Lower) Belvedere park and palace. Crowded with tourists, we got a small table in the basement. Beer selection included traditional lagers (helles, dunkel, märzen, pils), weizen and according to the leaflets also some chilli-beer. Five samples of 0,1 dl are avalaible for 7,90 EUR. All beers were fair, from the food selection we only tried the apfelstrudel. Suitable as a stop during the sightseeing, as the location indicates, to get food&drinks.

Good beers (although nothing special), but the food was really average and so was the service. Wasn't really worth a visit.
