6oz pour at the brewery. Still, clear deep ruby. Aroma of cocoa, orange, and honey. Taste follows nose -- like chocolate orange liqueur. Medium body.

Bottle... Pours deep, dark and burgundy with centipede-like legwork. The aroma is a fusion of chocolate tootsie rolls and Grand Marnier. There are dark berries here as well. Full-bodied with no carbonation. The flavor is of sweet tawny port with hints of raspberry and orange. Sugary-sweet finish. Tasty stuff. Bottle generously shared by biggsbowler!

375 ml bottle poured into a mini-snifter. Pours a dark brown to purple. No carbonation. The aroma has everything the name says, dark chocolate, orange peel, port wine. Complex and deep flavors. Definitely a sweet mead and one to sit and savor amongst friends (exactly what I did). Thick, sticky mouthfeel. This is one delicious mead.

Bottle at home, thanks Jeff! Pours dark reddish, almost purple. Both aroma and taste is magnificent, very reminiscent of the candy "Romerska Bågar" (Roman bows?), don’t know if it exists outside of Sweden. Anyway it’s like drinking orange-chocolate milk. Super tasty, one of the best I’ve had from Kuhnhenn.

From Todd. Stoked to try this! A: Dark purple with slight bubbles. Leggy. N: Port, grapes, orange, honey, and chocolate. A confection. T: Tastes exactly like a tootsie roll, in a good way. M: Very sticky, but somehow drinkable. O: Fantastic. This is a delightful dessert. Never cloying, and all the flavors blend and elevate.

Unearthed artifact thanks to Todd. Really Kuhnhenn produces some of the coolest stuff out there. Pours a clear reddish amber color with low bubbly action. A big sweet nose of port, oranges and mostly chocolates. The flavor is almost totally a tootsie roll, massive sweetness, oranges, super sweet honey. Very odd. Good.
