COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our cross-continental IPA. Made with Australian and American hops, this citrus heavy IPA opens up in the glass with notes of pineapple, tangerine, and orange rind. It’s sharply bitter . . . The name comes from the initial batch in which, post boil, the wort looked green from so much hop particulate floating around.

Silphium (4265) - Traverse City, Michigan, USA - DEC 21, 2023
UPDATED: DEC 21, 2023 Canned 9/28/2023 and consumed 10/7/2023. Murky dull orange-brown body, thick, pillowy cream head. Aroma sweet and juicy-tropical with passionfruit, pineapple, papaya, and strawberry. Soft body initially dominated by raw, bitter pink grapefruit resins, these eventually lingering mostly in the finish, allowing gummy orange marmalade and hints of passionfruit to develop. Very good but a bit rough this soon after the canning date.

UPDATED: JUN 10, 2023 Can in the garden from J and B Craft Drinks, Amsterdam, 10th June 2023. It’s 30 degrees and sunny, this beer pours a thick hazy yellow orange. Aroma is citrus, dry hops, grapefruit, candy. Taste is dry and bitter, powdery hops, green and raw hops, refreshing, tropical fruits, earthy, intense. Great IPA, glad I managed to bag it on the trip. In my view better than Haze.
