UPDATED: AUG 30, 2019 Walmart started selling this at 15 bucks a 30 pack. Who's gonna pass up a deal like that? Xtra gold is what it is. A decent lager best cold.

UPDATED: AUG 11, 2019 Really nice easy lager, when I was 18 it was a very good beer, the women were cold but the beer was gold! Now I am 45 I lament on this old dear! The modern Coors Extra is rubbish and the pub has had become a Islamic furbish when I was 45 and the Masjid is a dive!

12oz can poured into a Lager glass at 47°. Color is bright crystal clear gold with medium carbonation and a soft white head. Aroma is mild hop spice and a light corn like grain scent. It has a lighter body with a smooth yet crisp mouthfeel. Flavor is light, giving a nice pilsner malt base with a slight sweetness backed by a mild hop spice and ends with a light bitterness. Aftertaste is clean and the bitterness leaves it with a slightly dry feel. Overall it's not bad, I don't really like this type of brew but I would take it over most of them.

UPDATED: FEB 10, 2018 One of Coors True hidden gems when you can find it... pours a light golden color with a smooth and refreshing flavor..!! Supposedly a “blended beer” of Irish Red and Coors Light..?

Better than the standard coors because it has a hint of caramel sweetness. Tried at the brewery in 2007.

From old tasting notes. Light golden color has a greenish hue. Nice small bubbles support a medium white head. Light malty aroma of grain. Semi-sweet malt flavor with a wisp of hops. A small step up from Coors Banquet.

UPDATED: MAY 16, 2018 Poured from a 12 ounce can (identified as only Extra Gold Lager and no Coors about it) grabbed out from of a fairly chilled 30 pack into a 12 ounce thick glass mug. This is another 1 of ’dem ’dere beers I’ve been imbibing off and on for several years now. it works fine. Aroma: faint, far away grains and thin malts and hops but, acceptable enough to over see. It really does have a neato semi-darkish golden hue to it, from a clear glass mug, anyway. Jumping to overall: It doth good do to both pocket book and beer bud taste sensibilities. It’s a pretty simple brew, folks.
