UPDATED: OCT 24, 2021 Keg at ORB, Darlington. Pours clear dark brown with a thin beige head. Aromas of smoke, currants, tangy sour funk. Taste is toffee, more currants, sour and wood. Light smoky sour finish. Very nice.

UPDATED: JUL 11, 2020 This is a unique beer. Deep purple red, some thick black currant aroma, and a sweet and sour finish. Need to share this beer because its a bit too aggressive for an oversized bottle.

UPDATED: MAR 25, 2020 Bottle. A- Currants, smoke. A- Dark purple red color, dark liquid, light pink head. T- Currants, wet wood, mild herbal bitterness. P- Medium body, thin texture, flat carbonation, slightly unbalanced finish. O- Interesting brew. Seems to be some smoke on the nose but it also might be the Ardbeg 10 scotch I drank before this. It felt like I was drinking from a rain soaked log from last night's campfire and it was oozing berry syrup. No idea at all what that even means but that is this beer.

UPDATED: OCT 19, 2019 # 500; 10/2016. Výrazný, plný, ochucený pivo. Krásná černočervená barva se sytě růžovou pěnou. Vůně lehce uzená, výrazně černý rybíz, tóny červeného vína. Chuť černého rybízu s kořenitou hořkostí.

UPDATED: SEP 23, 2019 Botella de 1 pinta @ Cervezalandia online store. Color rojo oscuro, casi marrón oscuro, muy turbia. Espuma color rosa, abundante y con retención media. Aromas a frutos negros y silvestres (moras, fresas, frambuesas, grosellas), notas torrefactas y chocolate negro. En boca es ligeramente ácida, notas cítricas, equilibrada y sorprendente esta altbier con zumo de grosellas y arándanos.

UPDATED: SEP 11, 2019 Color negro con reflejos rojizos, casi opaca. Espuma rosa claro de más de un dedo de espesor y buena retención. Aroma a frutos negros, grosellas y moras sobre todo, ligero chocolate con leche y notas cítricas. Sabor en esa línea, con una acidez media muy agradable y ligero amargor aunque la última sensación que queda en posgusto es de moderado dulzor. Textura entre acuosa y oleosa, bastante pegajosa en los labios. Carbonatación baja, casi nula. Sabrosa, equilibrada y con el punto de acidez perfecto para mi gusto.

UPDATED: MAY 10, 2019 500ml bottle [10% abv]. Hazy, dark brown colour with crimson glimmer and small, creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Minimally smoky, roasty, dark malty and fruity aroma, notes of blackcurrant, a touch of chocolate and green wood. Taste is tart, fruity and roasty dark malty, notes of blackcurrant, dark chocolate, woody and minimally smoky overtones, a slightly nutty touch, fruit acid, well hidden alcohol. Well balanced, refreshing tartness, good drinkability.
