UPDATED: OCT 23, 2020 Bottle, 6.5%. Grassy hop aroma. Almost black colour, seems unclear. Small light brown head. The flavour is roasted and citric. Not my favourite combination, but it works well in this beer. Refreshing. Well-rounded finish.

UPDATED: OCT 23, 2020 Bottle from Bar Oorlam, Hamburg. Pours hazy coffee brown with stable tan head. Clear aroma of chocolate, roast and lactose, with estery touches and malty notes. Bitter, hoppy and roasty flavour with notes of roast and chocolate and touches of yeast and malt. Bitter and grassy aftertaste with estery and malty touches. Well-balanced and quite decent. I like the chocolate notes - hard to find in an IPA.

UPDATED: FEB 26, 2020 Black with a creamy-beige foam and aromas of pine, a little cocoa and treacle. Burnt-pithy and resinous bitterness over sweet treacly malt, touches of citrus and coffee, medium bodied and burnt-creamy-dry texture. Delicious.

UPDATED: JAN 29, 2020 Tap. Brown color with beige head. Aroma is chocolate, grassy, leafy. Taste is leafy, grassy, chocolate, cocoa. A bit chalky mouthfeel. Not bad, but very perfumed.

UPDATED: JAN 29, 2020 Tap at Frisches Bier. Dark brown, tanned lace. Perfumed hops on lightly sweet roast. Medium body, mellow mouthfeel. Grandma perfume hoppines and pine on light roast. Good praline finish.

UPDATED: JAN 5, 2020 Draught at Liebesbier in 2018. Dark chocolate, resin, citrus, aftertaste of licorice and herbs. Very good.

Aroma is medium roasty and soft licorice. Taste is the same leading to a medium dry finish. Easy to drink and enjoyable. Next one please!
