Bottle shared on Level 42 26/07/2017. Many thanks to Kenny for this one. A nutty chestnut brown coloured pour with a loose tan head. Aroma is semi sweet brown malts, pine, rubber, pine needles, . Flavour is composed of nutty soft roast, pine and rubber, . Assertive hop bitterness. Little jammy. Palate is semi sweet, frothy, airy. Woody pine.

Dark, toasted malts, floral hops. Hazy, dark brown, small, creamy, beige head. Medium bitter. More dark malts, floral hops, wet straw, some grass, charcoal, soft carbonation, medium bodied. Nice CDA, well-balanced. Bottle shared at L42 tasting - thanks to madmitch76!

Bottle shared in London - many thanks to Kenny. Pours clear, deep brown with a small, frothy tan head. The nose holds mellow roast, brown bread, orange peel. Light sweet flavour with well toasted bread, subtle cocoa, rindy citrus, burnt pine. Medium bodied with soft, massaging carbonation. Finishes with burnt grains, light roast, grass, more citrus peel. Nice enough.

Bottle at L42. It pours dark darkest brown with a medium beige head. The aroma is juicy, dried fruits, berry, cherry, tangy, fruit pie, toasty, earthy roast and some liquorice. The taste is dry, toasted, earthy, charred, wood, twig, ashy, wood, coffee, leather, and peppery spice with a drying finish. Medium body and high, foamy carbonation. Not bad.

Bottle at Meisterstuck, Heidhausen, 15/07/17. Dark mahogany brown with a big old light beige head of bubbles. Nose is charr, light pine dusting, cocoa powder, toffee. Taste comprises bitter roast, pine needle, treacle toffee, black peppery spice, cocoa rub, fruit loaf. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close peppered with earthy hop bitterness. Decent enough CDA.

Bottle @ Van Moll Brewpub shared with BDomue. Dark brown color with a deep dark red glare coming through when held into the light, average sized off-white head. Aroma is malts, dark malts, some hops. Taste malts, dark malts, earthy, malt bitter, some hops, bitter finish. Decent to medium body, medium carbonation. Gets better towards the end. Better mix between roasted malts and hops.

Bottle, bit over BB - black color, off-white head. taste is fruity, juicy, with a full dark malty body. the flavour is not really strong, but its an easy and very nice to drink BIPA. Good.

Aus der Flasche getrunken (Kauf bei Tante Frizzante). Braunschwarz mit sehr viel Schaum im Glas. Zu Beginn leichte Röstmalzigkeit, dann herbe Fruchnoten und anschließend Wässrigkeit.

Bottle shared with Thomas and Oscar, nice drinking with you gents. Opaque black color, brown head with good retention and solid lacing. Aroma of burnt pine trees dipped in burnt chocolate. Taste is burnt brownies. Very tasty.
