COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
For our Kristallweizenbock we were trying to combine various hop sorts offering distinctive aroma notes that are pairing well with the aroma coming from our signature yeast W68 and at the same time build a bridge to the Crystal (Kristall) as the hop varieties used for 2nd and 3rd hop addition, Opal, Smaragd (Emerald) and Saphir (Sapphire) are each either crystals or crystalline minerals. The hop bouquet in this brew is rounded off by Hallertauer Perle being used as bittering hop during the first hop addition.

jbruner (9247) - Lakewood, California, USA - NOV 18, 2018
Pours a clear golden yellow from the bottle with fluffy white head that dissipates to leave moderate lace. Aroma of light musty smoke notes over a touch of sweet wheat and clean grassy hop notes. Taste is bigger on the smoke, like they used the malt from the Weyermann factory fire. Interesting, not bad but not what I was expecting.

kraddel (10779) - Antwerp, BELGIUM - NOV 7, 2018
Pours very clear indeed ! Blonde, medium, creamy and stable white head. Smell is banana, intense. mild cloves. Taste is full, banana, creamy, very mild clove, very restrained bitterness. Tad sweet, even. Noticable strength, but not boozy at all. Nice!

BelgianBeerGal (6322) - Panama City, Florida, USA - NOV 4, 2018
UPDATED: NOV 4, 2018 Bottle from Hop City Krog Market. A surprisingly big and bold kristweiss. Lots of sweet malt with enough hops to stay balanced. Nice flavor for a style that is often bland.

Bamsen78 (8423) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - SEP 1, 2018
Draught @ Fox & Houndd, Sønderborg. Pours clear golden with small white head. Clear aroma of malt and banana, with touches of yeast. Sweetish flavour of malt, banana and yeast, with mild, bitter notes of hops and sourish citric and grainy touches. Estery and malty aftertaste with mild acidic hints. Very good for the style and not unenjoyable as such.
