COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The world’s first and only Trappist white ale that continues to ferment slightly after bottling. Brewed using only water, wheat, and hops. No herbs are added. Saphir hops give the ale its citrusy aroma. A real thirst-quencher on a hot summer’s day that also makes for a delicious drink at any other time of the year.

PubTun33 (66) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 10, 2019
UPDATED: MAY 10, 2019 330ml glass trappist bottle. Served fridge cold into a weizen glass. Bought as part of a six beer haul from Seven Seasons in Hoxton. Labelled as best before 03.2020. The beer pours a hazy pale yellow. No visible yeast presence. A massive white head that seems to start out fairly even before showing its rocky foam off while slowly dissipating down to a thin layer. The beer has lots of aggressive streams of small bubbles racing to the surface. Very pretty. The aroma is just as alluring as the appearance. Coriander, lemon, herby citrus. Sweet but restrained. Some yeast. It seems to lie somewhere between a wit and a traditional Belgian golden ale. The taste is very refreshing and very moreish. Sweet with a light bitterness. Spices from the coriander. Low levels of yeast. Some lemon, some citrus. But most memorably, tangy fresh herbs. That lingering longingly and form the main note of aftertaste. The aftertaste is also light on the spice and lemon. The mouthfeel is creamy. A very very good beer. But nothing less is expected of this brewery. Underrated in my opinion.

UPDATED: APR 25, 2019 Jasnozłociste zamglone piwo z solidną białą pianą. Aromat typowy dla witbiera, dużo kolendry i goździków. W smaku podobnie, jeden z bardziej intensywnych witbierów

UPDATED: APR 18, 2019 Bottle from La Trappe. Clear light straw yellow, white foam. More like a ‘Belgian wheat ale’ than a wit in the Hoegaarden vein, grainy malt, nice fruity yeast notes, touch of hop. Could be a little drier and have a touch more hop and bitterness for me in this style, although I’m sure that wasn’t what they were aiming for!

UPDATED: MAR 22, 2019 0,33 bottle. Én is emelem poharam erre finom belga búzára!!!

BarrelTapper31 (186) - RUSSIA - FEB 23, 2019
UPDATED: FEB 23, 2019 Belgium is know for Trappist beers and witbiers, but apparently these things are not supposed to mix. It's not bad, but not impressive either, and that Authentic Trappist seal certainly gives you certain expectations. Overall, average mass-produced wit, no surprises.
