Mortlach (2990) - Rome, ITALY - NOV 15, 2018
UPDATED: NOV 22, 2018 750ml bottle @Brasserie 4:20 (Rome). Rossa viva, brillante, schiuma bianca/rosata media. Al naso note di lamponi, ciliegia, frutta rossa, sottobosco, leggero acetico. In bocca è mediamente acida, tart, con leggero acetico finale, più si apre e più migliora. Corpo medio, carbonazione media. Intensissima, rude ma fantastica.

superbe robe rubis brillante, fine mousse. Nez splendide de fraîcheur et de complexité sur de magnifiques notes de framboises bien mûres sur un fond de cerise acidulée et une note lactée. Bouche splendide d'équilibre, de finesse, de complexité, de longueur et de race. Un bière hors normes.

W aromacie głównie dziko, mocno wiśniowo, raczej bez ekscytacji. W smaku cierpkość, dużo wiśni. Główne skrzypce gra tutaj dzikość i lekki ocet. Lekko ściągające.

2017 vintage. Raspeberries, funk, vinegar, cherries and wood in nose. Pours Reddish with poor white head. Taste is sour with rapsberries, vinegar, funky notes, red wine and cherries. Finish is tart, average to lively carbonation. Overall good stuff, however somewhat disappointing because of the high level of aceticity. Had better Drie Fonteinens.

Bardzo owocowy aromat, wiśnia, malina, a do tego klasycznie skóra, siano oraz nuty drewna. W smaku wysoka kwaśność moim zdaniem trochę za ostra, czuć tutaj spory udział owoców. Jest lekka słodycz. Finisz winny, pestkowy, cierpki. Bardzo dobre aczkolwiek spodziewałem się że zrobi większe wrażenie

Backlog from CB2017. Thanks to kermis for sharing. Pours a bright ruby with a pinkish head. Very juicy and fresh at this point. Lots of fresh raspberry, overripe cherries, light funk, lemon zest, hay, brett, almond, light sour grains. Beautifully fruity, eager to try an aged bottle.
