5 Stones Wak it to Me
Ever so slightly hazy golden coloured body with a thinnish, just off-white head that shows some bubbles towards the bottom. Aroma of citrus, grass, light resin and a touch of flowers, all with some nice yeast and malt showing through. Medium-bodied; Strong citrus and fruit flavours coming through at first that dominate and a little dry yeast and pepper flavour that finishes off the flavour with a dose of coriander seed and some flowers and grass at the end, with a soft, but noticeable bitterness from the hops. Aftertaste is dry, herbal and grassy without much of the malt, but some good bitterness and a lot of fruit-based notes, especially at the end. Overall, a nice and soft IPA with some fruit notes and a touch of bitterness, but fairly subdued and soft throughout, with only a tiny bit of malts. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased a few hours ago at Spec's in San Antonio, Texas on 12-October-2019 for US$2,19 sampled in my hotel room here in San Antonio, Texas on 12-October-2019, after a day at SeaWorld with my family.

5 Stones Barrel Aged Farmhouse Ale with Blackberries
Bottle at Jester King, pours an opaque dark reddish amber with a small white head. Aroma is earthy and almost smoky, with rustic farmhouse notes, blackberry pith, and earth. Flavour is very unusual, with wood, leather, and earthy notes, a light smokiness and honestly no real notice of the blackberries. Leathery and earthy finish. Unusual but tasty.

i love 5 stones, top 10 TX brewer, but this wasn’t very good. big time gusher .. spice, yeast, stale paper, berry, cinnamon .. odd combo .. mouth kills itself quick, gushed, bubbly, then almost flat .. . Some guy workin’ at Home Depot, he wants to fuck just as many women as a celebrity. But he can’t do it, because whores don’t care about lumber

Tastes like rainwater filtered through a man made of straw. Way better than Rain on the Tin Man, which is to rusty and finishes with a harsh metallic tang. Pretty funky so I’m guessing they used the scarecrow from The Wiz.

5 Stones I'll Be Your Basilberry
Bottle from Spec’s. Clear red-amber with no head. Light aroma of berries, some sourness, and maybe a hint of basil, if any. Almost flat, not sure if that’s intentional or not, and light-medium bodied and dry. Fruity but not really sweet or sour or anything, more of just a dull dry nondescript fruitiness.

Hazy orange pour with thin tan head. Aroma is very floral, which I guess shouldn’t be surprising. Taste is very fruity but not in a fruit beer way and I actually would not have guessed mango if it didn’t say that on the label. Interesting but not my favorite.

It’s like drinking raspberry crumble only less crunchy. This is already a ridiculous combination so I can’t help wondering how it would be served over ice cream with granola. Or maybe that would just be redundant. Anyway, very tasty. Not too sweet despite the fruit and brown sugar, though still not something I’d pair with tamales or BBQ.

Nut brown on steroids. I’m not a big nut eater so to me it was just "really nutty" but they say it includes almonds, pecans, walnuts, filberts and Brazil nuts. Filberts are also known as hazelnuts. Who would call a nut "filbert"? Nutella and Frangelico are made with hazelnuts. I like this beer better than either of those, though probably not just because of the other nuts involved.
