KevinReddirt	3.8 Allagash Gatherwell Allagash, imperial stouts, bourbon barrel aging, I like all three in a beer. I obtained a 12 oz bottle from Half Time some months ago, time to have a taste. A nice pour inside of my New Belgium globe glass, my go-to. Really dark brown, one shade away from black, with a spare swirl and ring of creamy tan foam. I smell chocolate, vanilla, a bit of coffee and scorched grain. A drink now, chocolate again, some char, red berries, toast, malt and a hint of honey. Thinner than I expected for an 11% abv beer. And I get no indication from the barrels unfortunately. Decent but far from expectations. Wednesday, May 29, 2024

drpimento	3.8 Allagash Avancé 8% ABV. Aromas are a pleasant, interesting blend of strawberries, malt and sour. Flavors are similar to nose, tart dominates and then strawberry and malt in the background. A little fruity sweet in the back but dry overall. Tuesday, May 28, 2024

Fin	3.6 Allagash Gatherwell Bottle picked up from Beer Republic webshop Breda Netherlands had this sat on the balcony at home Monday 20th May 2024, sat outside in the garden, we had Omani Mishkak Lamb Kebabs later with Feta and Chorizo Kebabs, Spiced Potatoes and a Freekah & Tomato accompaniment. Pours black with a tan head. Aroma is bourbon but with addition of a little spice and chocolate. These aroma profiles come through in the mouth along with some liquorice and roastiness. Fin	3.8 Allagash Tripel Reserve Bottle picked up from Beer Republic webshop Breda Netherlands at home Monday 20th May 2024, sat outside in the garden, we're cooking Omani Mishkak Lamb Kebabs later with Feta and Chorizo Kebabs, Spiced Potatoes and also a Freekah & Tomato accompaniment. Pours glowing yellow with a large white head. Nice nose, there is a little coriander coming through, definitely a little rush of spiciness. Warming in the mouth and despite the abv it drinks far easier than it should, a little mushy tropical fruit with the spiciness in the mouth, a little bitterness and whilst sweet also quite drying. Fin	3.8 Allagash Curieux Bottle picked up from Beer Republic webshop Breda Netherlands and consumed sat inside Frank (door open) at Camping Grabner, Seefeld/Steinbach am Attersee Saturday 18th May 2024, Loz made Mexican Burgers they were great. We did a great 14km hike today. Pours hazy gold with a sticky white head. The aroma isn't as barrel aged (bourbon scented) as you might think, taste is more noticeable. Soft mouthfeel, a little bit boozy, some oomph... It's definitely a Tripel but it's certainly ramped up. Nice. Saturday, May 18, 2024

ChicagoJ	3.5 Allagash Surf House 5/3/24 Chicago (Home) Can Notes: 12 oz canned 2/26/24 @ 14:20. Purchased 3/20 store temperature, refrigerated until opening this evening. Summer Lager, 5.5% ABV, brewed and canned by Allagash Brewing Company in Portland, Maine. Summer Lager - Like a little home by the water, this lager is built for easygoing relaxation. Brewed to be super-crisp and drinkable, dry hopped for subtle tropical notes. Take a break with Surf House. Appearance: Crystal clear yellow straw pour, steady sustained champagne like carbonation, full bright white head leaves slight clumpy lacing and a creamy cover over the base after a few minutes. 4.25 Aroma: Cracker, grassy floral, strong and drawing me in. 4.0 Taste: Note as bold as the aroma strength. Still getting cracker light salt and lemon grass. 3.5 Mouthfeel: Light and easy, hops bringing in bitterness. Is a bit dull at this stage. Drinks lightly dry and bitter overall, at or even perhaps above the ABV, fizzy carbonation adds to the light to medium watery body. Light cracker finish. 3.5 Overall: Guessing this is a middle of the road attempt, and perhaps a fresher version or draft would be more to my liking. Seems like a down the middle attempt at bringing in a non craft drinker. OK, would try once more but likely this take will be the same. 3.5 Sunday, May 5, 2024

Serious depth of flavors, the texture sensation of remnant yeast, and a noticeable banana taste in mind. Effervescence similar to world class Belgian brews. Heady ABV warming takes you to “the zone”.
