Bull Falls Holzhacker Lager
Pale golden, clear, and thin white head. Nobel hop aroma, mild lemon, and mild biscuit / grain notes. Medium bodied, with Pilsner like bitterness…maybe a tad high for a Helles. Smooth mouthful, mild tongue tingle, and medium bitter finish. Nice beer.

Pint can from Woodman's Appleton, 11/29/20. If they're gonna put "premium summa cum laude" on the label, it better be good. And it better have a better first semester in law school than I did as I'm merely premium cum laude. Hazy brown large foamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of banana, caramel, spice, a hint of tinny hops. Taste is banana, clove, pineapple, caramel, wheat. Medium bodied, maybe a tad bit thin. Some lingering spice and the carb is noticeable. Overall its decent. Maybe not premium summa cum laude, but still a solid beer.

Bull Falls Oatmeal Stout - Bourbon Barrel Aged
16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned in 7/2016. Pours nearly opaque dark brown/black color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy tan head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, bourbon, toasted oak, roasted nuts, biscuit, and dark/brown bread; with lighter notes of coconut, licorice, molasses, raisin, plum, fig, date, smoke, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast/roast/toast/oaky earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malts, bourbon barrels, and light-moderate fruity yeast, and light earthy hop notes; with decent strength. Taste of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, bourbon, toasted oak, roasted nuts, biscuit, and dark/brown bread; with lighter notes of coconut, licorice, molasses, raisin, plum, fig, date, smoke, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast/roast/toast/oaky earthiness. Mild herbal, floral, grassy, roasted bitterness; and bourbon/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, bourbon, toasted oak, roasted nuts, biscuit, dark/brown bread, coconut, licorice, molasses, dark fruit, smoke, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast/roast/toast/oaky earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malts, bourbon barrels, and light-moderate fruity yeast, and light earthy hop flavors; with a nice roast/hop bitter/sweet, and bourbon/oak spiciness balance; with no cloying, acrid, astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitter/spiciness and carbonation. Medium-high carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/bready, and lightly sticky/chalky/tannic mouthfeel that us great. Minimal warming alcohol or barrel booze for 6.9%. Overall this is a very good barrel aged English oatmeal stout. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malts, bourbon barrels, and light-moderate fruity yeast, and light earthy hop flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mildly bitter/drying finish; great soft/silky feel. Well balanced between nicely rich malts and bourbon barrel presence/integration; mild earthy hops and restrained fruity English yeast notes. Mildly sweet with lingering dryness. A very enjoyable offering, and well made English style example. Not a ton of barrel, but definitely adequate. Over-carbonated, but not detrimental to drink-ability.

Bull Falls Five Star Ale
Amber with off-white head, and mild head retention and lacing. Caramel, toffee, floral, alcohol and mild early notes. Full bodied, high malt, significant alcohol notes, astringent, phenol, and cereal flavor notes. Unbalanced, lacks true English strong Ale balance qualities, way too titled on alcohol notes...lacks sessionable qualities. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bull Falls Oatmeal Stout - Bourbon Barrel Aged
Base Stout was good here however the whiskey flavor comes through as purely charred wood with no finesse to it whatsoever. Nice color but missing out on the bottom line. This one wasn’t for me.

Can at home. Gift from a mate. Sweet but sour apple juice aroma. Medium gold. Virtually no head. Surprisingly bitter when first sampled (although this tones down) , however lurking underneath is a chemical sweetness which I am not entirely keen on. Light. Watery. Soft carbonation. Some crispness in the lead up to the finish. Average lager.

Bull Falls Hop Worthy IPA
Can at home. A gift from a mate who got a Bulls Fall box from relatives. Pours a good white head, which doesn’t last. Sugary sweet sap aroma, with a pinch of pepper coming through. Some sweetness at first before a a real bitterness overwhelms it all in the finish. Light - to medium bodied. The carbonation becomes prominent in the overly astringent finish. Didn’t realise I was getting a sore throat until this gave me a burning feeling. Unbalanced - overly sweet, then overly bitter. I’m finishing it but it’s not overly enjoyable.
