Jow (7251) - The Hop, Massachusetts, USA - NOV 8, 2023
UPDATED: NOV 8, 2023 Bottle at work happy hour in Madison WI. Nose mango and rose hips, some veggie and pineapple and herbal. Think bottle not the freshest. But still pleasant brew.body is medium.

UPDATED: APR 21, 2023 Finally I get the chance to taste the notorious alpha king, yeah! From a year old bottle, and a scary label. Copper color? Not sure. Nose is mild volatile hops. First big swig yields a hi-impact hop characteristic with increasing bitterness directly related to time. Sharp pointy straight away piercing annoying hops whew. Undoubtably a big American kick in the face, ale. It's big, its bad, its a bad-ass hoppy ale, just like a clean hefty IPA. You like IPA? You, probably like dis. It has all the typical rudeness of a yankee. Decent level of carbonation, even at room temperature, this brew keeps happening. I'm honored FFF, to have tasted this.

Larry_Duffman (1172) - - FEB 18, 2022
UPDATED: FEB 18, 2022 I poured it from the can into a shaker. It pours copper with a frothy, beige head and lacing. The aroma is citrus, dark fruit, and earthy hops. The taste is grapefruit, mango, apricot, bread, and earthy hops. It's creamy and smooth. There's a nice bitterness. This is pretty good.

hman43 (4390) - Pinehurst, North Carolina, USA - DEC 25, 2021
UPDATED: DEC 25, 2021 It pours copper with an off white head. Head retention is excellent. There are citrus aromas up front with some caramel. There are some pine notes in support with dried apricot notes. It has a definitive malt presence with caramel and citrus. The balance is nearly even with a slight tilt towards the hops. In addition there are pine and dried apricots. It has a medium body with strong bitterness in the finish without being harsh. Overall, a very good pale ale that is slightly balanced towards the hops.

UPDATED: OCT 22, 2021 Fruity aroma of apricot and mango with a touch of citrus; a little caramel and bread. Fairly carbonated; pretty dry. Taste is quite hop dominated. Crisp and clean. A classic additive-free Pale Ale.
