Bottle split at Bodney, thanks to Tipple, 12/04/18. Lightly hazed golden blonde with a decent off white cap. Nose is pissy citric shreds, white peppery spice, grains, grass, lemon rind. Taste comprises lime leaf, grapefruit zest, toasted grains, light yeast flicker, damp straw, floral notes. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok. Saison rate #1,000.

Bottle at LKS - thanks to Tipple. It pours hazy golden with a small white head. The aroma is fresh, bright, grapefruit, tangy, juicy, sticky, green, weedy and weed. The taste is dry, crisp, bitter, pithy, Granny Smith apple, soda water, pear, melon, light spice and hay with a drying finish. Medium body and fine, foamy carbonation. Not bad.

Can shared at Leightons place 12/04/2018. Many thanks. A hazed yellow straw coloured pour with a fine white head. Aroma is petrol, little rubber, lemon, squash, ink, midget gems. Flavour is composed wheat, lemon sherbet, gassy, pickled citrus. Palate is tangy, salt, grainy, highish carbonation.. Lingering tangy. Light salt.

Bottle shared in London - thanks to Tipple. Pours hazy gold with a creamy, white head. A little saison yeast in the nose, nips of lemon, melon, straw. Light to medium bodied with low bitterness, wheat bread, tangy lemon. Meidum bodied with active carbonation. Balanced finish, some lemon meringue, more melon, wheat bread. Solid.

Bodney Bier Huis bottleshare. Thanks to Tips. Light haze on this yellowish gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light and semi dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Very light malts, sweet. Floral sweetness. Mild brett. Light lemony citrus. Fluffy dry finish. Not bad.

Tap. Hazy golden color with white head. Aroma is peppery yeasts, dough, bananas, not so much grapefruit. Taste is again dough and peppery yeasts, earthy, grapefruit peel, bananas. Foamy mouthfeel with a rather high carbonation. Not nearly as great as the first version.

Tap at CBFZ 2017. Pours hazy yellow with a low head. Aroma is grapefruit, soft butter, sugar residues and saison/yeast funk. Body is light, lightly sour, full of grapefruit, lively carbonated and typically grapefruit-y bitter. Balanced. Dryish palate, very refreshing. Good!
