[Wood Aging - Barrel Aging - Spirit Barrel - Brandy Barrel] Armagnac Barrel - Fût / Barrique / Baril d'Armagnac
Any product actually added to and stored in Armagnac barrels so as to impart character from the process. Also including product infused with Armagnac-soaked oak wood.
Armagnac is named after the region of France which produces it. Fruitier than its Cognac cousin early on due to a different distilling process, Armagnac transitions into caramel and toffee notes as it ages and takes on more character from the wood. Armagnac classification is built on the age of the youngest brandy in the blend.
