Damn you. I was just about to start a new thread titled:

"No More Dick @ Anheuser-Busch"

or something equally childish.

Steve Luke now Dick.
Must be sad for Dick but i sort of guessed he wouldn’t be able to take the corporate BS too long judging by his original statements after the take over.
I will give it a year before the beer starts to suffer.

They won’t be cutting costs at Elysian. That’s not why they bought them. Doesn’t make me any happier, but that’s just not the model here at all. I know people think it happened with GI, but GI was opening a bigger facility anyway, and that’s what changed things.

Steve Luke was already leaving a long time ago. He is too good to be just an employee anywhere. He already had plans in the works for Cloudburst loooong before the takeover. He just hadn’t announced it publicly yet. Can’t wait for his beers.

I was surprised when I read this:

Elysian co-founder Cantwell went to a Super Bowl party and found the ad harder to shrug off. “We were watching the game over in my little living room,” says Steve Luke, a brewer at Elysian. “That commercial came on, and you could hear a pin drop afterwards. It was not good.” Soon after, Cantwell tendered his resignation. “
