Fritz Briem’s Piwo Grodziskie. It is a 700 year old beer style, original and indigenous to poland. It’s named after a town, top fermented, wheat based, low alcohol, pale colored hoppy, tart, smoked beer. Boy is it good.

Finishing on Chimay Red. You know, compared to the freshest bottle of Ruination, I probably prefer Ruination, but tonight I am reminded of why dubbels and quads and other Belgian Strongs are nonetheless my favorite overall style: consistency, class, and elegance.
