Also got Abyss, Hairy Eyeball, and Xingu for some new treats. I missed beer. Ms. Brandy’s company is nice in short bursts, but beer is preferred. :)

Message kdm1984 beers 1100 º places 14 º 15:03 Fri 12/27/2013 I get both at my craft store. Not a fan of Sucks - can’t remember off-hand, but I know it was either too piney or catty for me. I am drinking a Hairy Eyeball now, though, and I give it a thumbs-up. Heavy on the body and booze, but the flavors are subtle and nice: brown sugar with fruit. Little acidic. Something that must be enjoyed and savored in small amounts. Poured a tiny glass.

I missed it again this year. But I don’t feel too bad about it because of your post. I did get a bottle of bell’s oarsman to have on this unseasonably warm day AND I got some Hop House by Ommegang. How long does take to chill a beer?

Message kdm1984 beers 1100 º places 14 º 12:25 Sat 12/28/2013 If you stick a single beer in the freezer (do NOT do this with corked beer!), it’s usually at a suitable temp in approximately 15 minutes if it was at room temp prior (takes more like 20-25 for a bomber to chill). I know that’s probably not a highly recommended process :) but it’s worked pretty well for me over the years - haven’t noticed too much variation in taste compared to having the things in the fridge after a few days. Just finished another tiny glass of Eyeball - onto a tiny glass of Abyss before I can hopefully get some more sleep prior to my grave shift.
