UPDATED: DEC 20, 2023 On tap at Kona Brewing - Hawaii Kai, pours a deep dark amber-tinged dark brown with a small tan bear. Aroma reveals toasted malt, a touch of roast, and a touch of red fruits. Flavour has a rich malt character, with medium roast, some dry earthiness, and a hint of dry cocoa. Dry, toasty and earthy. Good stuff.

UPDATED: SEP 30, 2021 On tap @ Kona Brewing. Pours nearly black with a khaki head. This was actually better than I expected. Roasted malt, coffee, and cacao provide a nice bitterness with some sweet bread and biscuit malt notes. Light floral and earthy hops. A subtle fruitiness of date and plum in the background. Not bad.

A very nice and unique porter. Pours a beautiful deep brown-black with a tan head. Smells great, vanilla, chocolate, mint and herbs. Taste is similar, quite herby with vanilla, chocolate and spices. Had on tap at the taproom on Oahu.
