Cigar City Jai Alai Double IPA 3.6

Counter Weight Daybloom 4.0
Counter Weight Brewing Company Hamden, Connecticut
Canned 4/11, drunk 4/25/24. Moderately cloudy, white-golden. Fluffy, white head, slowly to cover. Really lovely nose is full of rich mineral, sweat, funk and must with a dusting of citrus, no clove or white pepper and importantly, very little bubble gum. Cracker, biscuit, cream of wheat...clean, mild, mellow, but still aromatic. Soft, malty, wheat-slick texture with good attenuation. Moderate bubble gum but it's interwoven with the fruitier, more phenolic (but not clovey) Belgian yeast. This is one of the more Belgian pale ale or saison-leaning wits I've ever had - the yeast doesn't pump out the usual insipid wit character of heavy white pepper, clove and heavy bubble gum. No overdone adjuncts, not sweet or watery.

Burgh'ers Quilt or Lantern 2.4
Burgh'ers Brewing Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Sampled on tap. Big & black, large and in charge. Mild volatile yet friendly nose. Heavy sweet wood charred alky laced tongue. Almost, if not, flat. Mouth mouth coating feel. Quite strong for my girlie lager lovin taste buds but this is much better than most of the other domestic samples I've tasted. Seems to have a sense of civility to it.

Suntory Perfect Suntory Beer 2.4
Can. Gold with a 2cm white head. Not much aroma - some cereal, some stone fruit. Very light bodied. Clean, dry and empty until a somewhat spicy and oddly harsh bitter finish.

Burgh'ers Deutschtown Pils 2.3
Burgh'ers Brewing Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
My tapped glass was pale and clear. Very little or no head. Typical clean pils nose. Oddly most of the pils I've had here today all taste the same. This one is no different. Has a mild intro with a medium pilsner bitter bite which increases thru the middle. Perhaps some fresh cut grassy impressions. Almost flat.

Burgh'ers Altbier 3.6
Burgh'ers Brewing Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Big glass on tap in zelie. Darker and clear, somewhat like iced tea in color. Nice head. Clean fresh beery nose, quite appetizing. Intial good level of co2 on teh palte. I'm liking this stuff from the start. Its tasty and feels fresh. Very good. Out of all the beers I've had here, this is the most enjoyable. Well behaved and friendly. A very good example of the alt style. No bitterness detected in this one. Quite yummy. Darn, its finished already?

Donker roodbruin bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is bitterzoet en krachtig met iets van chocolade, wat noten en karamel. Heel goed.

Schneider Weisse Tap 06 - Aventinus 3.8
Aroma : Wheaty/yeasty, banana, clove, a little plum & chocolate. Smells great. Taste : Medium body, smooth texture. High sweetness low bitterness throughout. Flavours just as aroma! Benefits from having no alcohol burn that can be there in beers of this high an ABV. Feeling the 8.2% though. Normally not a big fan of sweet beers, but this one has great character that gets past that. Really good.
