I’m all about trying a beer from both Yukon and St. Edward Island.

I haven’t made it into the basement to figure out exactly what I’ll be bringing to the grand tasting, but I’ll definitely have a bottle of Black Tuesday with me...

RBSG week is upon us. As always, hit me up with any questions or post them here. Should be a great time for everyone.

According to the weather report, there is a chance for some spotty storms over the weekend. Otherwise, it will be hot and humid. Pack accordingly.

Updated itinerary below. Attendees will receive a printed copy of this, along with some ideas for the open period on Saturday, when they arrive at the Meet & Greet.

Thursday, June 19
6:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Meet & Greet, Packet Pick-Up
Urban Chestnut Brewing Company (Midtown) - 3229 Washington Ave., St. Louis, MO 63103
Urban Chestnut’s original location in Midtown features a large biergarten next to a brewpub. We will begin the weekend here with a meet and greet. Please pick up your packets here and introduce yourself to fellow attendees. If you bring a bottle to share, please limit it to one. UCBC is 1.9 miles west of the Omni hotel.

Friday, June 20
10:00 am - 6:00 pm
Bus Tour
The bus departs the Omni Majestic Hotel at 10:00 sharp.

10:15 - 11:15 - Square One Brewery - 1727 Park Ave., St. Louis, MO 63104
Square One will kick off the Friday bus tour with a selection of house brews for us to sample.

11:30 - 12:30 - Morgan Street Brewery - 721 N. 2nd Ave., St. Louis, MO 63102
Morgan Street Brewery will feature six beers to sample.

12:45 - 2:30 - 4 Hands Brewing Co. - 1220 S. 8th St., St. Louis, MO 63104
4 Hands will feature several beers to sample, and maybe even a surprise or two. A buffet lunch from the award-winning Pappy’s Smokehouse will be served here.

2:45 - 3:40 - The Civil Life Brewing Co. - 3714 Holt Ave., St. Louis, MO 63116
The Civil Life will feature three house brews for us. Additional drafts available for purchase. Cash only.

4:00 - 6:00 - Perennial Artisan Ales - 8125 Michigan Ave., St. Louis, MO 63111
Perennial will have a number of house taps available and will also feature Side Project Brewing. The bus will depart Perennial no later than 6:00 and return to the Omni to drop off those not attending the beer dinner.

7:00 pm - 9:30 pm
Brewers’ Dinner
Dressel’s Public House - 419 N. Euclid Ave., St. Louis, MO 63108
First Course: 4 Hands Passion Fruit Prussia Berliner Weisse paired with shrimp ceviche
Second Course: 2nd Shift Art of Neurosis paired with spicy pork belly & grilled octopus with potato & remescu
Third Course: Perennial Regalia with hay-smoked Cornish hen served with grilled peach cornbread salad
Fourth Course: Schlafly Quad paired with roasted peppercorn ribeye served with caramelized shallots, wild mushrooms, local beets, and fig compote
Fifth Course: Side Project Barrel-Aged Stout paired with malted chocolate mousse and dacquoise

Saturday, June 21

Brewers’ Brunch
Schlafly Bottleworks - 7260 Southwest Ave., Maplewood, MO 63143
A la carte brunch accompanied by beers from breweries just outside the St. Louis area: Scratch Beer, Charleville Brewing, Augusta Brewing Company, and The Public House Brewing Company. We will arrange a carpool for transportation to and from the brunch.

Grand Tasting
The Schlafly Tap Room - 2101 Locust St., St. Louis, MO 63103
The Grand Tasting is a bottle share featuring a dinner buffet, drafts from local brewers, a DJ set from DJ MF Grocery from 9:00-11:00, and more. If you ordered one of the four packages for the weekend, your bottle from Perennial or Side Project will be available upon entry. The Tap Room is located within walking distance (or short cab ride distance) from the Omni.

Sunday, June 22
11:30 am - 1:00 pm
Anheuser-Busch Brewery Tour
1200 Lynch St., St. Louis, MO 63118
We will finish the weekend with the first tour of the day at the historic original Anheuser-Busch Brewery. The 45-minute tour finishes with complimentary beers at the new Biergarten, as well as a full menu of food and beer available for purchase. If you haven’t already, please let Peter know if you wish to attend the tour. Rides from the Omni will be arranged.
