They produce less Div1 talent than the states of Iowa, Minnesota, Kansas.. the list goes on. Furthermore.. it’s more in the middle of nowhere than a ton of other comparable schools. This is Nebraska. It’s ballsy move.. but I think everyone but Nebraska fans are left wondering what they realistically expect.. Money is money. But everyone in the B1G has it. Shit Iowa is 11th in revenue in the nation.. it clearly only goes so far..

Unless you’re into craft beer, dreariness, rain or and/or excellent facilities (that many schools now have), there’s no reason for a kid to want to go Oregon to play ball... or for pretty much any other reason than those I’ve listed. ;-)

While Eugene is not an inherently exciting place, Oregon’s style of play and the overall nature of the conference are exciting to kids. Not to mention Oregon has been part of the national championship discussion on a routine basis over the last several years, including playing for one.
